For Farrah, her family was exactly what she needed at exactly the right time. She could always run to the correct person whenever she needed the help. Whether it was cooking, or writing lyrics, or feeling down about life, she always had someone there for her. But there was no way she would brag about it, ever. Those types of people disgusted her, made her a little less happy about the human race. Why couldn't everyone be nice to everyone else? Why couldn't they help one another? Not questions you think an musician would ask, but it happened. Thinking about different things always helped the brunette write better lyrics. Then she had songs that didn't follow the normal trend she saw of relationships, boys, drugs, and the likes. The things that she didn't pay attention too. Farrah loved coming up with songs about people who walked by her while she sat- that was one of the reasons she was at the park. Sure, sometimes the songs ended up about relationships, but they also ended up about family, trust, friendship. Not insane things that she didn't get, but seemed to be all the rage in other places. Smiling, Farrah tilted her head, "Hm... How about irises? Or lillies? Those are always very pretty flowers, I love them." she laughed softly, "Make sure the color matches everything, okay?" after all, if Summer knew about the cause of death, she might as well be put in charge of coloring everything. Farrah bet she'd be good at it.
In all honesty, Farrah wasn't sure what being a normal teenager was like. Perhaps she just spent too much time with her grandparents when she was younger, but she enjoyed the company of people who would rather hold real conversations rather than short and awkward ones. That was probably where she got her want for a long term relationship as well, seeing as they had been together since they were teenagers. That's why she was semi-responsible and always positive, they had impacted her that much. Still, some teenage activities were well liked, especially shopping. But then again, most girls loved it anyways, so it wasn't that much of a surprise. "I'd bet, but still, it's better than the latest trend every day." she shrugged, sighing dreamily, "If only I had a closet filled with cute but not fancy clothing... Now that would be great." those were the things she wanted to wear, but didn't want to spend money on. School tuition was bad enough on it's own, she didn't want to overspend. That would be a terrible decision. Besides, she'd be famous one day. Farrah frowned slightly as Summer shook her head. No, she knew Summer would do well. She was pretty, interesting, smart. She would get a great job, Farrah knew it.
Farrah considered herself a mix, really. She liked to dream big, but she knew she had to keep her head in reality. Well, most of the time. Dreamland tended to produce better lyrics. Well, somewhat better, seeing as she wasn't the best at writing them yet. "Oh come on, you'll move up. Maybe one day you'll own the place!" she grinned optimistically. Even if Summer thought she would never leave the place, Farrah was sure she'd get promoted. If she was well liked enough by the managers, she would do very well. It was just a matter of playing the cards you were dealt the best way you could. That's what Farrah did, and she ended up right where she wanted to. "No matter how many times you say that, I'm still not going to believe you. It seems impossible to me!" she laughed. A break from her hard work would be nice, and cute boys sweetened the deal. No matter how much she really just wanted a relationship, staring was fun. A bit of an adventure, too. "Hey! It's not my fault my classes are all over the place! I know I can do weekends, just not Saturday nights. So there." she stuck her tongue out for effect. Even with a tough schedule, Farrah remembered some things clearly. Tagg; Summer! Words; 650ish? That was Summer’s case, she never had someone to support her but her sister and no one to run to when she felt down. Her life had been everything but easy and since a very young age she knew what alcohol, drugs and parties meant and that was exactly the reason she avoided them three of them. Her sister though was the total opposite and decided to follow that path for some unknown reason Summer couldn’t understand. To be honest, Summer didn’t know about a lot of things normal teenagers knew about like relationships, she had her crush but zero love life. When you have no family and the only family you have is a druggie sister that spends her time drunk and a small house because you are poor… well, it was complicated to have a relationship with such an atmosphere at home. But at least she had friends, she never told them about her life and didn’t trust them much but still, she liked hanging around them. Farrah was a good friend but Summer couldn’t tell her what was going on in her life, besides, it was her problem and nobody else. “Oh sure, because if you are dead it’s very important for colors to match, but I shall make sure.” She said laughing.
That made her remember the day her sister and her had to bury their mother. It had been so simple and no one had gone to see her, not that they could blame people for not wanting to attend… her mother had never cared about anyone else but her and her vices. Summer wasn’t sure she loved her mother at some point… she had attended her funeral but she didn’t cry when they found her dead or had to bury her, sure it had been hard because well that meant they were completely alone in the world. Her sister had been old enough to take care of her back then so she didn’t have to go live with other family or something like that. Who would have thought that of her? With her ever present smile and her cheerfulness? “I’ll trade with you any day girl!” She said smiling and laughing, shaking her head. Summer had to spend her money in the house and the bills and she had barely any money left for clothes, she saved the little spare money for more important occasions like her sister’s birthday or Christmas.
She laughed out loud at Farrah’s optimism, it was a great way of see the world but she knew what it was due to her and was fine with it. “That’s too much work for me, I would rather stay where I am.” Summer laughed and smiled, getting promoted sounded great but she wasn’t educated enough to manage a place like that, maybe in years to come if she managed to keep her job. But she will never be as big as Farrah and that was alright, she was alright with the life she lead because it was what she knew, what she knew she could do. “Just don’t forget about the place you always took your coffee when you make it big.” She said joking and winking at her. Summer wasn’t ready to think about her future or about relationship, there were things she would never be able to do and she had to deal with that just fine. “Oh missy! That’s what I call I tight schedule!” these dry bones cry for you |

In plain simplicity, Farrah loved her family. They were some of the most important people to her, they shaped her life in so many ways. The support and love she got made things so much easier on her. The brunette knew how lucky she was compared to so many other people she knew. Even if they didn't talk about it, it was generally easy to figure out when people didn't have the best families, or relationships with them. The way they acted when you talked about your own family was, well, different. Stiffer, in a sense. But she wasn't going to dwell on the lives of others unless they came to her first, or, you know, she was worried about them. It wasn't her business otherwise, right? Farrah was just busy trying to get by as a 'normal' teenager, which wasn't all that easy. Relationships, friends, school... Everything piled up so easily. It wasn't often that Farrah had to deal with the first, but she would never mind it coming up. Maybe a relationship would keep her from stressing about work almost daily. "Hey, it better be perfect. I expect a lot from you, I know you'd do great." she nudged Summer lightly, "But if you don't... Well, my ghost will be happy to haunt you for the rest of your days." the brunette laughed heartily. She only believed a little in supernatural stuff like that, it just didn't seem that likely. Bur still, she enjoyed making jokes about simple things like that.
Only once had Farrah ever had to deal with a death, and she was young when it happened. Well, as long as you didn't include the pets she had so often. A turtle, a cat, a hamster; the blue eyed girl loved animals. No matter how bad she may have been at taking care of them when she was little. Cleaning up after things just wasn't that enjoyable, what else could she say? One day, she promised herself, she'd get a new pet. And it'd stay alive for years, being her best friend. And, you know, she'd actually take care of it. She smiled, 'Well then, one day, we'll have too. As long as we promise not to screw up each others lives." she laughed again. Oh, how strange that would be. At least she'd be free for a day, no homework or anything. Just sitting around, working in a coffee shop. A dream day. So much easier than the work she put forth, or so she assumed.
Farrah didn't mean to always be so optimistic, it just happened. Cheering people up and being friendly was just how she was, nothing could change it. "Really? Cause you could do it, I swear. You're good at dealing with tons of people at a time." honestly, she believed anyone could move up, as long as they put the work forth. And Summer was the type to do that, she could tell. Even if it took more training to get there. It was similar to Farrah's life, stuck constantly practicing until she could finally move up to a real performer. That would be the best day, finally stepping into the bright stage lights... But that was far ahead of her right now, she needed to live in the moment. "Oh don't worry at all about that, I'll still be stopping by as much as I can. Increased business for you guys, right?" and besides, she couldn't leave the best cafe she knew. She'd need her favorite drinks all the time once she was big. She laughed, "Any funny work stories?" she asked randomly, lying back in the grass. She laughed, looking up to Summer, "Hey, it's not as bad as it could be!" Tagg; Summer! Words; Some sort of number~ Notes; None

Summer was ready for that, it was sad but she was strong enough to go through it if that ever happened. She loved her sister, a lot, but she just… tent to take little care of herself and Summer spent all day long alone. When she was home Anna was out and about partying and when she was working Anna was passed out in the bed probably having another hangover and sleeping in like she always did. That never happened when they were younger though, Anna took great care of her, Summer supposed all of it started to happen when she could take care of herself, then Anna started to go out and have a life outside her and well, she couldn’t blame her, who would actually want to live the kind of life they were leading? And that’s the way Anna had been raised, surrounded by drugs, alcohol and their mother’s boyfriends. Yes, she had also been raised that way but Summer… well Anna did a better job as a mother than their mother would have ever done.
Looking back, Summer wondered why no one ever realized what was really going on in her household, why no one ever helped them or noticed things. And if someone did… well that someone never reported a thing. Farrah was really lucky to have a family, a real one that provided her shelter, support, comfort and love. But Summer never let Farrah notice that, she just kept hide her life, never talking about her family or something like that, for all she cared she didn’t have one at all. “I’ll make you proud, don’t want your ghost scaring off my costumers at all.” She said laughing and resting her head in the tree. Life was so unfair sometimes, giving some people so much and others so little… but well it was the way life was and Summer dealt with it just fine, or she tried to. She had her hands full already and she had always been quite the independent kid, she learnt to take care of herself sooner that she would have wanted but tried to keep her innocence as much as she could. She didn’t think Farrah would be able to live in her shoes for long, not because of the work but… because of all the things she had to deal with on a daily basis. “You can’t screw my life so don’t worry, just don’t get me fired!” She joked smiling.
She wasn’t sure if she could do it, if she could work managing a café… she would love to though, it would mean she had done something in life so far and that would be actually a first in her family. “Practice makes the master, it’s part of my job.” She said not giving it much thought. With her life people would have thought she would be… antisocial and all that jazz but she wasn’t. She was quite social, looking for what she lacked in her family life outside. Summer liked to be surrounded by people, she liked to have fun, be positive… but she was realistic too and she knew when she could dream and when she couldn’t. She laughed again and smiled, Farrah was one of those friends she liked to hang around the most, and she loved looking over her shoulder while she wrote the lyrics in her notebook at the café, loved sitting during her break with her in the table and talk about people. “The usual, kids making a mess, people getting dirty… an old lady coming in trying to buy flowers...” these dry bones cry for you |

Being an only child, Farrah's life had gone differently. She was, to a point, waited on hand and foot by her parents and grandparents, the latter whom she rarely saw. But still her parents had promised her a great life, something she would really enjoy. It was nice, in a way, sure. But she still felt guilty, getting so much and giving nothing in return, while others had little to nothing. That's why she promised to become famous, to allow her parents to retire peacefully in their dream location. They had always talked about it, and Farrah remembered it clearly. That was one of those goals that kept her going forward in life. As a child, Farrah hadn't really been independent. Sure, there had been some days where she had to get to school and back home by herself, then fend for herself all evening. But those days were few and far inbetween, they didn't bother her at all. And now the brunette was living on her own, basically, and fully taking care of herself. It was quite an achievement, she thought. Even though some people had it rougher, she was still proud for herself in her setting.
Farrah didn't push anything about Summer's family, she didn't often want to push people what they were saying. It wasn't her right to demand every detail, or assume things. However, from what she had assumed and gathered, Summer's life couldn't have been all that hard. Besides having to work often, but many teens had to do that. Families couldn't often afford everything they wanted, even Farrah's couldn't. She knew it was somewhat hard on her parents, sending her to the academy, but it had to happen. Money was just hard to come by. She knew she was lucky, and she was plenty thankful, "Good! I'll still have to check in on you every once in a while, though. Just so you know. I promise not to scare anyone off!" even if she was haunting her friend, Farrah wouldn't want to hurt anyone. Maybe pull harmless pranks, but nothing more. She knew how important customers were! Her laugh was soft, but still there. Oh, how she loved spending time with her friends. She grinned, "Just as long as you promise not to fail my classes!" she winked. The brunette was quite sure she could survive a day in Summer's life, she could handle most anything.
Honestly, Farrah thought running a cafe would be a fun job. As long as it wasn't run by a huge corporation, things would be generally easy if you were taught properly. Manage the funds, buy the supplies, pay employees, and count the money earned. It was a fairly simple job, she believed. Something that Summer could do in time, especially if she wasn't planning on leaving the cafe any time soon, which was definitely what it seemed like. Farrah nodded as she spoke, "And if you can use that machine, you can do anything with a bit of practice." she smiled. Summer was always such a joy to be around, it was nice. Farrah wasn't good with a large amount of attention, so one on one talking was just a good way to relax. Writing lyrics at the cafe was easy, with all the different people that came in, "Tried to buy flowers? Really?" she laughed, "How often does that happen?" Tagg; Summer! Words; 582~ Notes; None

Summer believed she was one of those people that had neither one nor another. Her life had been difficult, no doubt about that, but she always thought it could have been worst. She could have been an only child and having absolutely no one to take care of her but she had Anna and that was a great help. Summer wasn’t raised in a particular happy place or surrounded by optimistic people, she was lucky if she got something to eat every day, regardless if it was hot food or cold, and winters… well, they were hard but she had always been quite optimistic and happy, she was glad to have at least something to eat, a roof over her head and a sister to rely on and to be honest she didn’t need something else, what she had was more than enough, if she could make it to the end of the month it was enough. The people around her needed more and more and more, children screaming to their moms demanding toys or candies… people that had everything always wanted more, they were never thankful for that they had, she had learnt to be. Summer never told anyone about her past, first because it was nobody’s business and second because she hated complaining and moaning.
Sure, her mother forgot to feed her, forgot she had kids, brought drunk boyfriends home, was wasted and high all day long and messed up her life, basically. But once you get used to it… still she wondered why never a soul bothered or noticed what was going on. Anna cleaned their clothes so they could be more or less decent at school, sewed them when they were old and managed to get her hands on new ones when the ones they had couldn’t be wore anymore, Summer never told anyone at school what was the deal home, they were never late, they kept their grades… She guessed from outside her life seemed pretty normal; except how thing Anna and she were… and how different they acted from normal children. “No really, you don’t need to. You can absolutely rest in peace.” She said laughing and shaking her head watching an old couple walk by them. Love seemed so wonderful from outside, someone to spend your life with until you were that old, someone you could rely on and that will go with you through everything and more… beyond the end of the world… and Summer was so sure she would never experiment something like that…
“Oh that’s piece of cake, I won’t fail.” She had always been quite good in that department; in fact she managed to end high school with quite good grades. Running the café, well it would be a good idea if the boss didn’t have someone else to pass it to but Summer wasn’t going to suggest something like that, she was going to go with the flow of things just like she always did because it was easier keeping what she had than aiming for something on a higher shelf. Summer shrugged, Farrah was always trying to reach higher, Summer was happy with what she had, if she tried to aim she could fail and lost whatever she had and she wasn’t in a position she couldn’t afford that at all. “Actually that old lady is not the first time that comes in trying to buy flowers, apparently when she moved in for the first time there was a florist where the café is now.” Summer said laughing and smiling. The old lady was very sweet and Summer loved inviting her to a coffee and listening to her stories from when she was younger, it was a very funny lady and a great story-teller. “Poor lady is losing her head… sometimes she recognizes me and sometimes she doesn’t… it’s really sad.” But it was life right? It was supposed to be more or less like that in the end… whenever people liked it or not. these dry bones cry for you |

Farrah was lucky, she knew that. That was one of the reason she wanted to help other people when she had more, so that they didn't have to live such poor lives. She could be too nice, she knew that. But the brunette honestly wanted more people to have better lives, like the one she led. Her parents raised her that way, and she was going to keep it up. Never dislike someone just because they have less or more, treat them like everyone else. In the end, everyone was human. Plain and simple. Those people who always wanted more annoyed Farrah, they just didn't understand. She almost felt bad for them, for not understanding the rest of the people around them. There were some of the people at the academy. Plenty of them, really. The stuck up students who were always complaining about how they didn't have the most recent update to their phones, or the best designer jeans. Farrah never, ever, wanted to be one of them. She shook her head, smiling, "All right, if you say so. I trust you." she believed Summer would do a wonderful job, but that really wasn't an issue right now. The blue eyed girl had no thoughts about dying for at least the next... Sixty years or so. Maybe even eighty, if she could make it. That would be quite a fulfilling life to live.
Farrah always lived one of those lives where she was constantly doted on. That's what happened when you were an only child. Sure, she would have liked a sibling... But being alone was fine, it left more room for friends. Of course, now she didn't really see them all too often. School completely ran her life, from start to finish. At least she had been able to make a few new friendships, like this one with Summer. From the moment they first spoke at the cafe, Farrah had had this feeling like they would end up close. And it was coming true. She didn't need to know Summer's whole history to be friends with her, she didn't care at all about a person's past. It was theirs, not hers. "I'll do my best at resting!" with the conversation, she wouldn't have been surprised if Summer thought she had some deadly disease. Thankfully, she didn't. She laughed a bit, following Summer's eyes to the old couple. They were so cute, she imagined they had been together for years. That was what she wanted, a lasting relationship. It didn't have to occur right now or anything, she was fine with waiting until she was out of school. Things would be easier then.
For a brief moment, Farrah wondered if Summer had ever been lucky in love. She didn't speak of anyone, male or female, so she couldn't be sure. She never had, but only time would tell. Farrah believed that everyone had someone, somewhere. And that one day they would be connected. That's why she believed so strongly in her own beliefs of a lasting relationship. When she found he other half, she'd be in one. Sappy, yeah, she knew that. "Good! Be sure to take notes for me." she laughed. She fully trusted Summer in her spot for a day, easily. But still, she wanted to know what she would miss. You never knew when a teacher would quiz you. And many of hers seemed to enjoy doing that. Besides, in one day, there was no way Summer could completely ruin her grades. Not like she thought she would, Summer seemed smart enough. Especially since she could use those machines. That was one of the reasons Farrah thought she could run the cafe, if it was ever an offer. It'd move her up in life... Farrah knew that wasn't how everyone worked, but it'd give her more free time. "Really? How interesting! How long ago was this? You think she would have learned by now!" Farrah laughed. Oh, old ladies. They were always the best. Farrah had always wanted to talk to them, maybe she'd have to show up at the cafe when she was there. Summer would have to let her know, "Really? The poor thing... Hopefully she gets placed somewhere safe soon!" if she was forgetting now, she probably needed it. Still, she had to be nice. Tagg; Summer! Words; 742 Notes; None

No money? Less things to thing and worry about. No family? Independence and freedom… and just like that she managed to keep positive. It was essential for her to keep like that, any other way she would have got a depression and end up like the rest of her family, dead or barely so. Summer believed she could have a better future if she worked hard enough knowing she had limits and where she would stop. Farrah had no limits, her parents could afford a very expensive school and she didn’t have to be deprived of things, the only limit she had was herself and for Summer that wasn’t even a limit. She knew enough of life to see if didn’t last forever and she enjoyed it the most she could, sure sometimes she wished she had more or lead a different life but who wouldn’t? Even the ones who had quite a lot always wanted more at some point. Summer had never been spoiled all her life though her sister tried for her to have a happy childhood and she had it, she really did and tried to keep her innocence for as long as she could, but she wasn’t a child anymore, and as sweet and caring as she might be she knew how to keep her ground.
And she kept her head on the ground also knowing romances were out of the question. She could manage the friendships, Summer had really no problem with as long as they didn’t want to take more that she had to offer but relationships were at a whole different level, one out of her reach. She laughed carelessly at Farrah, she didn’t mind if half their conversations weren’t philosophical or about an important topic because what she wanted was to have fun, she had enough conversations of those along the day and enough problems to deal with to talk about them. She didn’t want anyone setting toes into her past or anywhere near it. “I shall say if they get me to sing I might ruin your career though.” Summer laughed, among her talents singing wasn’t one of them and it had never been so for her to take over the career of a musician… she could barely manage with her actual life, if she had voice talent like her sister did then she wouldn’t be working on a café for sure. Anna was always the kind of girl that shined while Summer liked to fade into the background, she had learnt she didn’t have the best views of the life but it was definitely safer than standing on the edge of the cliff for your fifteen-minutes show.
Shaking her head she smiled softly remembering the old lady and took a sip of her now cold coffee playing with the grass. “Not long ago really, maybe a day or so.” The old lady was really interesting and Summer found herself fascinated by the stories she had to tell but it was sad, that woman was alone and had no one but a waitress to listen to her. She smiled sadly at Farrah, always hoping for the best for everyone when truth be told nothing could be done about it. “I don’t think so, she has no one really and the few she has don’t want to take care of her or be responsible.” If only she had enough to take care of that poor woman, take her in and give her a better life. All Summer could really do was visiting her, bringing some coffee and pastries and listen to her talk about her glorious past and her many memories of it. And it was really good, really enjoyable and sometimes even better than a movie, but no one would enjoy those stories beside her because no one was willingly enough to listen. these dry bones cry for you |
