Conan Albright stood on the auditorium stage, practicing his lines for their assignment in Drama. What was the assignment? Well, it was 'What musical or play inspired you to be in this class' sort of thing. So, it was obvious what Conan's choice was. Les Miserables was the best musical Conan had ever seen. And it was obvious that he was practicing his favorite scene, which was when Eponine died. It was a sad part in the musical, but it was what made him decide to become a broadway actor. Conan slowly let out a breath and started acting out what exactly happened.
“Good God, what are you doing?! 'Ponine, have you no fear? Have you seen my beloved? Why have you come back here?!” he sang out the lines, feeling himself starting to become Marius in the musical. He heard Eponine's lines in his head as he continued. “Eponine....what's wrong? There's something....wet.....upon your hair....Eponine....your hurt! You need some help! Oh god, it's every where...” he sang, pretending to hold onto an imaginary Eponine who was dying in his arms. But, the scene was short lived as he heard laughter from the seats and he looked out.
Sitting there was a big man, one he remembered as a photography student who was in the same year as him. Conan was rather...intimidated by the fellow student. The brunette looked away and sighed. “What are you doing here? I thought all the photography students were taking classes around Paris right now.” he spoke, his British accent filling the room. Now, when he was practicing as Marius his voice was low, but now it was rather high. His normal voice. The other male laughed again and stood up, making his way on the stage.
“I finished my assignment early. So I decided to come back here and what did I find? A girly man pretending to act. How sad.” the boy said. Conan, who was backing up, gave a slight glare. This guy really got on the actor's nerves. He was constantly causing him issues and drama. Reason for that? Well, the photography student had found out that the drama student was gay. The boy didn't like that, so it was a constant thing for Conan to go through. The laughing and the scorning. It was horrible.
Letting out a sigh, the man looked away. “So what exactly did you come here for? To give me issues like always?” he said. The other man smirked evilly as he stepped forward. “Perhaps the last time wasn't enough for you to leave the school.”
Conan remembered what had happened last time when the two students were together. It consisted of being chased down and beaten up. The actor winced as he thought about how he explained all the bruising and such to his father the following afternoon. “Oh, I fell down the stairs Dad. Nothing more. Now eat your breakfast before it gets cold!” he had said, changing the subject quickly.
It seemed that the same thing was going to happen again. Conan quickly ran past the man and went to jump off the stage, but before he could, he was grabbed from behind and pulled back. His face hit the wooden stage painfully as he felt the weight of the other man on him. “Get off of me!” he screamed, hoping someone outside the auditorium would hear him.

Ike walked down the hallway while humming to himself a particularly well known tune. His guitar hung from his left shoulder while his right one carried a messenger bag with books and music sheets from the class he had just finished. His happy-go-luck attitude was somewhat contagious as a few students waved at him and a couple more even joined his humming for a verse or two. Turning to the left he found himself on his way library which in turn would force him to pass by the auditorium. It wasn’t his usual route but he had a pending assignment and while lunch sounded a lot more appealing he wanted to be done with the paper as soon as possible so he could move on to other things. The particular hallway he took was deserted, apparently not everyone was a fan of doing homework during lunch time and Ike understood them, it wasn’t his cup of tea either but it was a necessary malady. His humming died out as he stopped for a moment to look for at least an apple or something he could chew on before secluding himself to the library. Unknowingly he halted in front of the auditorium’s main doors and the lack of people in the hallway allowed him to listen to what was going inside. Being a musician Ike was very familiar with musicals and theater. It wasn’t exactly his favorite type of music as he was always of the idea that his voice was better suited for other type of music. It didn’t stop him from enjoying the absolutely gorgeous performances that some actors were capable of. Speaking of which, a scene he knew all too well was apparently being rehearsed inside the otherwise empty stage. As always his curiosity got the better of him and Ike had to peek inside.
A-ha! He was right! It was Les Miserables! His parents took him to see it when he turned sixteen and he remembered the scene clearly. Ike cracked a smile upon noticing that the guy on the stage was acting by himself. Surely there were no boundaries when there was passion in one’s art. Leaning against the door frame Ike tried to pass by unnoticed as he didn’t want to interrupt the rather well played scene. It was interrupted though, just not by him. Tilting his head in curiosity he watched the scene unfold. At first he thought it was some friend of the actor. After all he had the guts to interrupt him just like that, in the middle of a performance. The smaller guy’s look was telling him otherwise though. If anything he looked quite uncomfortable with the other’s presence. They weren’t acting, and so their voices died out and Ike couldn’t hear clearly what they were saying. It was none of his business of course, so he thought of picking his bag up and heading off to finish the dreaded assignment. But… he decided to linger just a little longer, just in case they finished their talking soon and he could get another little peek of that guy’s acting skills. Returning to his leaning position he waited a minute, but apparently he wouldn’t get to see any more of Les Miserables today.
Ike’s reaction was quick and almost instinctive. There were few things he couldn’t stand but one of them was bullies and it just happened that there was one in front of him. He practically ran down to the stage and before anyone could notice his own hand was on the photographer’s shirt and he was pulling him off the other guy with strength that was obviously the product of adrenaline and anger. “Excuse me.” He said, still managing to sound decent and polite despite the fact that he was applying much necessary force and shoving the other away as if he were some kind of tin can. He stood in front of the actor in a protective way, facing the assailant and practically daring him to take a step forward or to do anything against him or the other guy. “Do you mind? I don’t think people appreciate that type of behavior.” His voice was court yet caustic showing he wasn’t kidding and that he wouldn’t hesitate to repeat his previous moves. There was a chance he’d end up beaten up by this guy, as Ike was no professional or street fighter but he was a firm believer that a strong attitude could work wonders. “Nearest door is that way.” He pointed to the back, showing the back door that would take him off to the hallways and away from both of them. Now Ike just hoped he took the advice and left otherwise he would have to try to do some old fashioned beating up.

Conan had closed his eyes for s split second, knowing what would be happening in the next few seconds. However, he felt nothing and he grew curious as to why. Opening his eyes, he looked to see where the bully had went. Much to his surprise there was another man there, one that had pushed the enemy away from Conan and stood in front of him. It was as if the other guy was protecting him. 'Who....what is he doing?' he asked himself silently. He heard the dark haired man speak, telling the photography off and where the nearest door was. Conan looked at the bigger guy, hoping that the barbarian would take the advice and leave.
Giving the newcomer a glare, the man turned away and started to leave. But first, he spoke one last time giving a warning to Conan. “I will be back to continue our little dance.” the man laughed as he walked off the stage and exited the auditorium. The actor slowly stood up and looked at the door, then to his hero that had saved him from getting the crap beat out of him. “T-Thank you.....umm...I'm Conan Albright...Sorry you had to see that...” he said, giving a smile to the man before him. However, Conan had a blush on his cheeks.
The guy that had saved him was rather attractive. He had always had a thing for dark haired guys. Well, except for the bully that had just left. Conan didn't have any attraction toward him. Shaking his head slightly, he looked again to the man in front of him. “That was nice of you to help me, there. Again, thank you and I am sorry that you had to see that...” he apologized yet again. Why did he keep doing that? The other guy just saved him and he was apologizing? What was going on?
Conan suddenly felt shy, which wasn't normal to his personality. 'I have no idea why I am acting so shy now....and my heart is pounding...' he thought, turning away slightly. His face grew hot and he touched his chest lightly, feeling his heartbeat as it pounded against his chest. 'I need to calm down. He might be straight and have a girlfriend! Conan, stop it.' he scolded himself as he looked at him again.
“So....umm....how did...you know I needed help?” he asked, tilting his head slightly, wondering how in the world did the guy even hear him call for help? Well, it wasn't exactly a call for help. It was more of like 'Get off of me' than a help call. He then looked down at the paper he had dropped with the words and lyrics of the scene he was doing before he was interrupted by that jerk. “Was you....watching me act?” he blinked, wondering if that was the case.
One thing he knew was that this guy could watch him anytime...

“Aw c’mon! He’ll never love you back!” Ike yelled in response to the guy’s threat. Really, who threatened people like that nowadays? His eyes followed the photographer’s back until the sound of a closing door made it clear that he was gone from the auditorium. Turning back to Conan he smiled at him and offered a hand to help him up. “I’m Isaac Nowak, but Ike is alright.” The look on his face was completely different now; entirely friendly and slightly pleased at the fact that the confrontation didn’t escalate into something bigger. “And I just have to say that I’m so glad that guy left. I swear I thought he would come back and just kick my ass.” He chuckled at the thought. As much as he would’ve done anything to defend himself and Conan he was pretty sure the guy was at least twice his size and the weight difference was also considerable. Luckily it didn’t happen and now he was alone with Conan.
Letting his smile die out into a shy expression he looked away and waved his hand in a dismissive way. “It was nothing. I just don’t like seeing people taking advantage of others.” A little shrug proved his words were truthful. He probably would’ve done it if the assailant or the victim were different people, he simply didn’t like bullies at all. Looking back at Conan he noticed the red tint on his cheeks and mistook it for something else. “Are you alright? He didn’t hurt you did he? You’re all red.” He lifted his hand and placed it against Conan’s cheek to make sure he didn’t have a fever or something. It would be really bad if that kid managed to hurt him and Ike wouldn’t hesitate to go to the school authorities and point out the abuse. His initial concern was distracted by Conan’s questions and now it was Ike’s turn to feel embarrassed. He didn’t exactly blush though; he merely drew his hand back and rubbed the back of his neck in a slightly ashamed mannerism. “Oh, well. Yes, I was enjoying your performance from the door.” He pointed at the open auditorium door. “It wasn’t anything weird or anything I swear. I was on my way to the library and heard you and since I like Les Miserables I thought of sticking around until the scene ended.” He chuckled, excusing himself and thinking it sounded a bit lame. “You were really good you know? I actually planned to talk to you after you were done but well… you know….” He chuckled again and half pointed at the back door where the photographer had left. “Not exactly how I would’ve liked to meet you but at least it worked.”
Ike’s plans to spend his free time at the library were dismissed already. He walked downstage until he was able to sit on the border and beckoned Conan to do the same. “So you’re a drama student? I don’t see you guys around that much.” Ike considered for a moment but then again it was probably because he was so absorbed in his own music that he had little time to spare befriending people outside the music circle. “Why was he bugging you anyway?” He asked with curiosity. It wasn’t like people just pinpointed others at random and decided to bug them, plus it looked like it wasn’t the first time…

Conan still looked at him with a stunned expression as he yelled at the guy, in which the taller boy hid more behind his savior just in case the person came back. Thankfully, he didn't. Sighing in relief, Conan looked at Isaac and nodded, giving a soft smile while he reached for the handsome boy's hand. “Thank you...It's nice to meet you.” he said, his voice getting a little higher pitched than before. Clearing his throat, he looked away. Damn his high picthed voice. It always got higher when he was nervous. 'Calm down. Just stay calm.' he said to himself in a scolding voice. Conan chuckled slightly and looked at Ike with slight admiration. “I'm sure you could take him on and win.” the brunette said matter-of-factly, confidence in his voice.
Conan watched as his smiled died out to be replaced by a shy expression, which made the drama student smile slightly. 'That is so adorable.....' the man thought, falling for the boy slowly just by their first meeting. 'Stop it. You need to wait and see how he feels about you after a while. It's too fast.' another wave of scolding thoughts went through his mind slowly. When Ike touched Conan's cheek, he blushed even more and stood there nervously. Apparently, the other boy mistook his first blush for something else. Which was good on the actor's part. “Oh yeah, I am fine. Perfectly fine. Umm....” he spoke quickly, looking away shyly.
The taller boy raised his eyebrow and smiled slightly as Ike confessed to watching him perform. Letting out a soft laugh, Conan placed his hand on the other guy's shoulder and shook his head. “I know it wasn't weird, because if you hadn't been watching, I would have been laying on the stage all beaten up.” he told Ike happily. Tilting his head though, he removed his hand from the man's broad and muscular shoulder. 'Oh he works out...how sexy....' he let the thought slip through his mind like a velvety voice seducing him to touch Ike's arm again, just to see if there was anymore muscles prominent on his body. Conan nodded and grinned a little, agreeing with Isaac. “I am so glad it worked out like this.”
The drama student watched as Ike moved from off the stage, making him tilt his head slightly. But soon, he was following Ike and sat beside him, giving a soft smile. “Yeah, I am. We are normally given assignments to act in front of crowds randomly to help some of us get over stage fright. But other than that, we mostly stay in our classroom practicing. I couldn't just sit in that cramped room and wait for someone to practice with me, so I just came here and did the next best thing: act a scene out by myself. Plus, not many of them enjoy doing the musical type thing...at least with me...” he said, looking down at his hands on his lap, which were laying with the palm facing upwards in a comfortable fashion. Looking back over at Ike, Conan just shrugged slightly. “Why does any bully bother anyone? Because he was jealous....”
No, that was not the true reason. The guy had found out that the drama student was gay, and apparently the guy was a complete homophobe. But Conan wouldn't say that out loud. Not in front of his new friend. Cause, sadly, he might end up the same way. The actor always kept his sexuality secret, just in case he were to get into a situation where he would lose someone over it. Hopefully Ike didn't see through this lie. Cause, truthfully, Conan was a horrible liar.

Ike liked confident people, he was confident himself and he always tried to make others to trust on themselves as much as he trusted in them. It was a good premise to go by, but sometimes he had witnessed this confidence go over the board and turn into something else, hard to handle. Ike gave the door one last glance before deciding the guy was definitely not coming back. He would’ve sent a professor or returned with help if he wanted to do something against any of them. “Nah, I’m not really overconfident… he would’ve kicked me into oblivion.” He whispered to Conan, subtly getting closer so that he could hear his toned down voice. He was kinda flattered that Conan thought he could take the other guy down but without the adrenaline rush that he felt a few moments ago he was pretty sure he wouldn’t even had the slightest effect on the larger male.
Conan’s comments eased Ike’s mind a bit. He was afraid the other one thought he was some type of stalker or something like that. Not that he knew how stalkers behaved but he was pretty sure it involved something like silently watching and stuff like that. Ugh, that really sounded creepy. Next time he would ask if he could watch the performance in case someone didn’t take it as lightly as Conan did. Ike listened intently to his explanation concerning drama students while resting his chin on his palms and his elbows on his knees. “That explains it. Or it could also be that I’m always locked up in the music studio.” He chuckled at the sad truthfulness of his own statement. “I’ve been so worked out with school stuff that I couldn’t help but feel lured by a fine distraction.” He gave Conan a short playful wink before shifting positions and resting his palms on the stage.
The bully statement didn’t exactly erase the smile from Ike’s features but it did serve to tone it down considerably. “Yeah, I had my good share of problems with bullies before. More at highschool but then I just decided to work out, ignore them and have some courage to stand up against them.” His words held a certain air of ‘sad memory’ in them but the last part came out as one of those motivational posters which Ike didn’t fail to notice and couldn’t help but laugh at it. “I’m sorry, that sounded as if I was telling you to work out. I don’t think about what I say sometimes. But really, I just wanna say that I know what it is like to have a creep like that after you.” He motioned towards the door without giving it a look this time.
Hopping off the stage Ike stood now in front of Conan, watching him with the same bright smile from before. “Can I watch the rest of the scene? It’s one of my favorite scenes and I hadn’t seen it performed so nicely in a long time.” He looked at Conan with that pleading puppy eyed look that he wasn’t even aware he pulled whenever he wanted something. “Please?” He repeated, completely intent on ignoring the hour he had reserved to study. He could always stay awake an extra hour or two to finish his essays and compositions, and it’s not like he would be wasting time either. Watching a good performance was never a waste of time. Walking back to the seats Ike sat on the middle of the front road and clasped his hands all of a sudden. “And maybe then we can sing together something from a musical. I may not be a very good actor but I do know almost every musical song there is.” He said rather proudly. Songs from musicals had been practically an entire class during his second year, so he may not know the lines or the story of every single musical there was but the songs were something he was very familiar with.

Conan noticed Ike get closer to him and this made him blush again. But he raised his eyebrow, placing his hand on the other man's shoulder. “But you seem so intimidating. I'm still sure you would have been able to take him down.” he said, giving a smile to the dark haired musician gently. There was just something about Isaac Nowak that made Conan's heart skip a beat and pound in his chest strongly. It was as if he had fallen for the newcomer in a matter of seconds after seeing his face. Which was hilarious. The taller boy chuckled softly to himself as he pondered the likely hood of 'love at first sight'. Well, it seemed it was true since this was a first for him. He gave a soft smile to the other male as he spoke. Though, once Ike mentioned being 'lured by a fine distraction' and winked at Conan, the actor blushed and looked away slightly. “That could explain it too....and I am happy you find this....a fine distraction from your busy schedule.”
He noticed the way Ike's smile toned down a little as he spoke about having his own share of bullies. Conan nodded a little and frowned, understanding completely what he meant. “I try to ignore him when he passes by me during lunch or something...But when he comes to me when I am alone is when I have the most issues.” he spoke gently, looking away from Ike and to the spot where the guy was standing moments before while his new company was protecting him. But his attention was taken again by the other man. Conan Albright shook his head gently and have a soft smile. “It's ok. You was just talking about how you learned to deal with it. I totally understand what you mean.” He looked toward the door and stared at it for a moment, but slowly he looked back to Ike, his eyes looking at him. He was attempting to get eye contact, since Conan noticed how beautiful Ike's eyes were.
The musician's eyes were a beautiful chocolate color. And they seems so...puppy like. Especially after he requested for Conan to finish the scene so he could watch it. So it was one of his favorite scenes? Smiling, the actor shook his head slightly while he chuckled. Giving a playful smirk, he nodded. “All right, but only because your pleading puppy eyes are too adorable to deny.” he said, obviously playfully flirting with Ike. But, he had to make sure not to go to far. He still needed to keep his attraction a secret. So, with that, Conan stepped back onto the stage and thought about where he was. But then he realized the scene wouldn't look that well without someone singing Eponine's part. Thus, he got an idea.
“Maybe you could help me with the scene....because it is hard not having someone doing Eponine's part. I mean, it's fine if not. But it would be a nice help for someone to sing that part. So, if you do just sing the part, ok? If not, just...pretend there is an Eponine here.” he said, giving a nod. He decided it would be best to just restart the whole song, since he had to remember where he was.
He closed his eyes and pictured the scene. Being Marius at the barricade and Eponine coming in. However, as Eponine got closer, he realized in his mind he was thinking of Ike. Since that is who came up to him. Taking a deep breath, he had to blink a few times and replace the 'Ike' looking Eponine with a female girl. He envisioned her looking weak and in pain. But, being Marius, he just looked at her and gave a scolding glance. “Good God, what are you doing?! 'Ponine, have you no fear?! Have you seen my beloved, why have you come back here?” he started out, his voice strong. Conan thought about how as she sang her lines, the pain she felt. “Eponine? What's wrong? There's something wet upon your hair. Eponine, your hurt! You need some help, oh God, it's everywhere.....” he sang, but paused a few moments while he pretended to catch an invisible person in his arms. He slowly kneeled down, his knees on the floor as he sat down on his legs. Conan's gray colored eyes started to fill up with tears, feeling the worry and sadness as Marius probably had felt. His arms pretended to pull the invisible person close to him firmly.
The actor, who was now transformed into Marius from Les Miserables, closed his eyes and took a breath. “But...you will live 'Ponine, dear God above. If I could close your wounds with words of love!” he said, his voice breaking slightly as Marius' emotions tried to stay strong. But he couldn't help feel the sadness of losing a dear friend. His best friend. 'Poor Marius...the way he must have felt when Eponine was singing her last words....telling him her last goodbyes...' the man thought, tears beginning to roll down his face. “You will live, a...hundred years!....If...I could show you now....I won't desert you now...” he sang to the 'Eponine' in his arms. Slowly, he pretended to brush a lock of hair out of the invisible Eponine's face as he heard her words in his mind. The Marius in him knew she was in pain, but the imaginary Eponine was trying to stay strong for him.
Opening his mouth again to whisper his singing in counterpart to 'Eponine', so he could get her to be silent as if it would help her live a little longer. “Hush-a-bye...dear, sweet Eponine...You won't feel any pain. A little fall of rain...can hardly hurt you now. I'm here, I will stay with you, till you are sleeping.” he whispered as he sang the words that would soon lead to Eponine's death. Though, despite him whispering, his words could easily be heard by the imaginary audience. It could be heard by Ike. And, Conan's voice had broken again while singing that part. His tears flowing down his cheeks more as he looked into the eyes of the invisible Eponine. He imagined her taking her last breath, pulling the imaginary girl closer to him. “And rain.....will make the flowers...” he paused slightly, to close his eyes and bow his head slightly to the ground. Conan pictured her becoming motionless in his arms, dying in his embrace. It was how she wanted it. His voice broke as he let out a soft sob, as he opened his mouth to sing the last part. “Grow.......” his voice a whisper, but loud enough that if people were sitting in the back could even hear it.
Slowly, he bent down and kissed the imaginary Eponine. Looking up to another person who wasn't even there, he stood up. Next was Enjolras' part. Where he spoke the words 'She is the first to fall...The first of us to fall upon this barricade'. Conan nodded softly, and looked down again to the invisible body of the dead Eponine. He spoke, his voice full of sadness and the pain he would have felt if he had lost his closest friend as well. “Her name was....Eponine....Her life was...cold and dark...yet, she was unafraid.” he said. The tears he had been crying had stopped, but they stained his face. The lights in the auditorium that was facing the stage sparkled off of them as he pretended to follow the body of Eponine, who was being carried off for her final scene.
Conan let out a breath and wiped his face to remove the tears he had cried. He then bowed, soon looking at Ike with a soft smile. “I...hope you enjoyed that scene...and I hope it lived up to what you were expecting.” the actor said, seriously hoping it did.

Ike had always been the artistic type ever since he learned how to walk. He liked dancing, he loved singing and he simply adored anything that made him feel something deep and moved his heart. His education had always been music oriented though and to be honest he never gave anything else much of a try. Well his mother always said that that if he was good at what he loved then there was no point in looking around like a blind man. It hadn’t been her nicest comment ever, especially to blind people but she was sort of true, and Ike never deviated from his music aspirations. It wasn’t until he got to Paris that he was practically washed away with all sorts of art forms. Pain, photography, dance, even music he had never tried before were wide open to him now and all he had to do was jump from one classroom to the other to have a taste. Drama had been one of the things that caught his attention soon but the music program was just so demanding and professors asked even more from people they thought had a promising future that Ike barely had time to breathe out of school. It was nice to take a break, this was the type of break he liked to take.
He sat on the edge of the seat, eager to see Conan act. He smiled and chuckled at his comments, and even more at his request. Not in a mocking way of course, Ike would never do anything like that to anyone. “Alright, I do know the song. I’m not the best Eponine though, my voice doesn’t go that high.” He sat in a straight position, ready for Conan’s cue. The scene started and Ike was pleasantly surprised to hear Conan’s voice and acting. Once the first verse was done Ike opened his lips to sing the counterpart. “Took the letter like you said. I met her father at the door, he said he would give it. I don’t think I can stand anymore.” His voice was certainly not Eponine-like but the singing was flawless. He even raised the tone as much as he could without it sounding awkward so the tone and the feeling would at least be implied.
“Don't you fret, M'sieur Marius, I don't feel any pain. A little fall of rain can hardly hurt me now. You're here, that's all I need to know, and you will keep me safe, and you will keep me close, and rain will make the flowers grow.” Ike had sung this piece before, but he had been Marius and a fellow music student had played the part of Eponine. He had to admit it was kinda unfamiliar to sing a girl’s part but watching Conan act made everything less awkward. To be honest Ike was kinda surprised that a drama student could bring out so much emotion out of a simple rehearsal. He guessed it was the same with his music; every single rehearsal Ike gave his best and tried his hardest so in a way it could be the same for any other student of any other art.
“Just hold me now, and let it be. Shelter me, comfort me” Their synchronization was perfect despite the fact that Ike wasn’t doing any acting. Well in a way Conan was acting for both. Ike never realized when he actually got off his seat to rest his arms on the stage and watched Conan from a closer distance. He wasn’t even thinking about the song anymore as the verses and the music in his head came almost automatically. He was enthralled in Conan’s acting and on his thoughts of just how much of a perfect Marius he’d do. Even the part sang in counterpoint came out excellent, much to Ike’s surprise who was expecting to mess up there.
The scene was done now and until now Ike released a breath he didn’t know he was holding back. He couldn’t help but take a small step back and give Conan applause. “That was really good. I swear if that was the school’s play I would totally pay to see it.” He spoke truthfully as ike wasn’t one to give random flattery around. “You’re really good, Conan.” He finally said, looking at the other right in the eye. After a few seconds of eye contact ike looked down and chuckled. “Alright, my turn. What would you like me to sing?” Chances were Conan would request something he was actually familiar with and just like Conan did, he would give his best to please the other student.

Conan smiled softly at the fellow student. He was so glad that he had someone to share a common interest with. It was very rare that someone like Ike would show up in Conan's life like he did. The male started to think about it, and it was wonderful. His heart beat faster as he realized that Eponine's part was being sung. It was Isaac. He was singing with the lighter haired man in the sad duet. Blushing slightly, Conan began to think a little more on the matter. Their voices matched each others in harmony, as if they were meant to sing together. This made Conan happy. 'Maybe....this is the world's way of telling me love is on it's way...' he thought gently.
He was lost in thought until he heard the applause from off the stage. Smiling softly, Conan blushed a deep red color and grinned. “Thank you, thank you~!” he said, bowing to Ike as if he had just finished a one man production. However, the third year actor couldn't believe how well they sounded together. He wanted to sing with Ike again. Just to hear their voices blend together in a beautiful harmony. Tilting his head, he heard Isaac speak. Biting his lip slightly, he stared directly into Ike's eyes and sat on his knees in front of the musician. “Do you like Disney music? I was thinking...maybe...One Jump Ahead from Aladdin or....I Can Go the Distance from Hercules. Those would seem good~” he said.
Conan smiled at Ike, one of those sweet and generous smiles. The young man actually felt a little bit flirty. “Or, of course...Beauty and the Beast~” he smirked a bit. He wanted to see what Ike's reaction would be. However, Conan knew he couldn't go too far. Especially since, well, Ike didn't know he was gay. Looking away slightly, he knew he didn't need to fall for the man before him. He might have a girlfriend or a fiance. Conan gave a soft sigh and stood up, brushing himself off and taking himself away from the thoughts he had. “Anything you sing will sound wonderful. Your voice is magnificent. You could even do Two Worlds from Tarzan and it would sound beautiful.” he spoke quickly, his voice becoming higher pitched than normal. Quickly, he cleared his throat and coughed. “Sorry about that....”
The boy didn't want to seem weird to Ike. No, he didn't want to be rejected by him. So he felt as if it would be best to try and keep a distance. At least until he found out for sure that Ike was....available and willing. 'Oh Ike, your so fine you blow my mind.' he thought to himself. Slowly, he bent down and picked up the piece of paper he had dropped earlier and chuckled. For once, he didn't need the lyrics to the song A Little Fall of Rain. Looking back at Ike, he smiled and motioned with his head that Ike could come up onto the stage. “Your turn, Ike.”

Ike was already excited about the encounter. He was wishing to go back to the cozy music room and tell his friends about this awesome drama kid and how nicely he sang. Who knows, maybe if he spiked their interest enough they would be able to work together with the drama students in some sort of project or something like that. It wasn’t really common for students of different arts to work with each other unless it was some final project or they were forced to. But anyway, time was running short and lunch time was half way over. He could’ve made an excuse and left but to be honest Ike wanted to linger here with Conan, and sing. Singing was his life, his passion and doing it with someone whose voice clicked so perfectly fine with his was like a rare treat. Plus, it was like they said, if life gives you lemons… make some grape juice and let the world wonder how you did it! haha no! wrong saying, but yeah, there was something about lemons in this situation.
“Well you know, I’m more of a Katy Perry guy but I can pull some Disney as well.” He smiled and winked at the mention of Katy Perry. He really could rock her songs in a very manly way mind you. There was something about the rhythm in her music that just went well with Ike’s voice. He didn’t sing much Disney though, not because he didn’t like it but because his music professors usually underestimated the awesomeness of children movies. Ike tapped his own lower lips as Conan suggested a few songs. The Beauty and the Beast thing made him chuckle though. “I don’t think I can pull that one. You could though, but my voice doesn’t go so high. And hey! No underestimating Phil Collins! He’s like… my mom’s impossible love or something like that.” He rolled his eyes with an embarrassed smile at the memory of his mother practically swooning whenever Phil Collins was on the city.
“Ok, I got one. But you’re gonna have to sing part of it too ok?” He rubbed his hands together and imagined the music playing in the background. Singing a capella was one of Ike’s favorite ways of singing, that or with his guitar but he didn’t have one at the moment so his voice would have to do. “If there's a prize for rotten judgement I guess I've already won that. No man is worth the aggravation. That's ancient history, been there, done that.” The song was one of his favorites just like the character who sang it was his favorite too. Megaras was just made of win, as simple as that. “No chance, No way I won't say it, no, no!” Soon enough Ike reached forward to take a hold of Conan’s hand and pulled him around the stage in some sort of improvised choreography. “It's too cliché, I won't say I'm in love!” The performance would’ve attracted a few spectators if they weren’t all busy eating at the cafeteria. It was better that way, Ike didn’t feel like sharing this one moment with an audience.
“I thought my heart had learned it's lesson. It feels so good when you start out. My head is screaming "Get a grip!" Unless you're dying to cry your heart out, oh” Ok so, he was singing a girl’s song but it was no different from when he sang Katy Perry. It was amusing and refreshing so why not? “No chance, no way, I won't say it, no, no!” He still pictured the awesome music in his head and continued around the stage as if it was a representation of Hercules on stage instead of just some random singing. “This scene won't play, I won't say I'm in love. You're way off base, I won't say it. Get off my case, I won't say it…” He finally released Conan and walked to the center of the stage in order to deliver the last verse. Giving Conan his best representation of an enamored smile he finished the song “Oh At least out loud, I won't say I'm in love…” Finished with a bow and that was all. “Hope you liked.” He said with a pleased smile since well, even if Conan didn’t like it he enjoyed the performance with all his heart.

Conan smiled as he watched Ike's expressions and action. He had never felt so....perfect being in the same room with another person before. This made him extremely happy. Soon enough, Ike started speaking, which Conan listened to him. Tilting his head slightly, he wondered if Ike would sing a Katy Perry song for him. Chuckling a little, the drama student nodded softly as he understood what Ike meant about Phil Collin's being his mother's impossible love. “My dad feels the same way for Angelina Jolie...” he said, his noise wrinkling up slightly. He knew it was normal for a male to be attracted to females, but really? Her lips were huge. And Conan disliked thinking about the female anatomy. So, he would rather have someone like Orlando Bloom. Now he was a hottie.
Shaking his head, the young man came back to his senses and smiled at Ike gently. Conan nodded and grinned softly. “Ok, I'll sing with you.” he said gently. When Ike started singing, the young actor blushed. He recognized the song very well. And it was from his favorite Disney Movie. Slowly, he opened his mouth and sang the first lines to his part in the song. He was playing the part of the Muses, which were his favorite characters in the movie. “Who'd'ya think you're kiddin'? He's the Earth and heaven to you. Try to keep it hidden. Honey, we can see right through you. Girl, ya can't conceal it. We know how ya feel and who you're thinking of.” he said, his voice harmonizing with Ike's once more. His blush became more noticable as Isaac took his hand and danced with him around the stage. Conan's heart was skipped a beat, but he kept on singing with the musician who was holding his hand.
“You swoon, you sigh. Why deny it? Uh-oh.” Conan was loving each and every minute of the moment the two shared together. He didn't want it to end, really. To stay in a place where they could sing and act to their hearts desire with one another. Harmonizing beautifully. Ike was the missing part of Conan's eternal song. “You keep on denying, who you are and how you're feeling. Baby, we're not buying. Hon, we saw ya hit the ceiling. Face it like a grown-up, when ya gonna own up? That ya got, got, got it bad.” he sang as he continued to dance around the stage with Ike. His heart, which always felt like it had an emptiness to it, finally felt complete. “Give up, give in. Check the grin you're in love!” Even though Conan was the one singing the Muses' part, he felt like they were really singing to him. Because he did, indeed, have a grin on his face.
It turned out that the young man had finally fallen in love. Funny how things played out like that. Ike released Conan and walked to the center of the stage. His hands felt cold, missing Ike's touch. But he wouldn't break character, so he continued singing. “You're doin' flips, read our lips. You're in love!” The young actor found himself standing to the side of the stage, leaning against a wall gently while his eyes were trained on the other man. His heart longing for Ike's hands to hold him again. “Girl, don't be proud. It's ok, you're in love....” he sang his final lines and smiled as Ike brought it home.
Conan looked at Ike admirably, getting his features into his mind so that way when they weren't around each other the young man could picture him and smile. Quietly, he mouthed the words Ike was singing and touched his heart. 'And I will do the same....not say it out loud...' he thought. The musician bowed and spoke, making Conan chuckle. “I didn't like it....” he said, pausing with a smile. “I loved it. You have...the most amazing voice I have ever heard. You...sound like an angel. You really do.” the light-eyed man said, in barely a whisper. Maybe he was going to far, but he knew it was something his heart lead him to say.

Singing when he wasn’t supposed to sing felt comforting and simply good. Lately all of Ike’s singing had been due to school projects, concerts for grades or solos in the middle of one of his many classes. He didn’t even have time to lounge at the gardens and just perform a jamming session with his friends so the break from being told what to sing had been quite welcoming. Singing with Conan had been also an awesome experience and listening that his singing was good from someone other than professors helped to lighten up his day. “Angel? I don’t know. Never heard an angel sing before.” He joked and shrugged playfully. “But glad you liked it. I don’t sing Disney often. Professors like to go for more ‘serious’ stuff.” He with a small eye roll and took a deep breath just afterwards.
Ike hadn’t even noticed how late it was. It was one of those consequences of having fun, time just flew by and you barely felt it. The musician was about to suggest they sang another song when the sound of the bell announcing the end of lunch time interrupted him. “Oh is it that late already? I was supposed to catch up with some pending assignment during lunch time.” He chuckled and pulled his sleeve up to take a look at his Mickey Mouse watch. “Oh well, looks like I’ll have to stay late after classes are over.” Despite the fact that staying late was like a crime for most students Ike didn’t seem to mind at all. It’s not like he had a lot of plans for later, and what little plans he had (cleaning up his apartment, shopping for groceries, mailing a post card for his parents) could actually wait until tomorrow. He walked towards the edge of the stage and was about to jump off but a random thought stopped him. “Oh, lend me your phone.” He said while extending his hand, once the device was on his possession he dialed his own number and returned it to Conan. “That’s my number, send me a message later so I can save yours!” He said, this time really jumping off the stage and rushing towards the doors. He was a building away from his next class and the bell already rang which meant he would probably be very late.
And still… he couldn’t stop smiling…
Maybe it was that he just met someone he was sure would be a very good friend, or because he really didn’t want to spend his lunch hour tucked inside the library but either way this hour of fun had just made his entire day ten times better. He ran down the hallways and gain waved at a few people he was familiar with. A couple of them chuckled at his silly attitude and one of them even asked what the bright smile was for? Well he didn’t know, but he was glad it was there.
Skidding down the hallway he arrived to the desired classroom a grand total of three minutes late. Of course he got scolded and told that he didn’t take his singing career seriously enough to which Ike merely looked down and mumbled a ‘sorry’ to hide the grin he simply couldn’t pull out. Hopefully Conan would send him a text later and they would have the chance to sing again, or maybe just randomly hang out like normal people did. Not everything in life was about singing, right?

The male smiled softly as Ike spoke. Conan watched how his lips moved to form words and it made him blush. He grinned and tilted his head a little. “You mean more top 40? I understand what you mean. No one enjoys the classics anymore other than those who appreciated it that is.” he said. Ike took a deep breath and Conan just loved how his chest moved with the breath he took. Looking away slightly, he was in his own world until the bell rang. Their happy time together was cut short and he sighed. Stupid classes. He heard Ike speak and ask for his phone. Conan simply nodded and handed it to him. The next few moments, he watched as Isaac put his number in. Conan blushed as he held the phone his his hand as the other male jumped off the stage and run towards the doors.
The young actor sighed as he smiled, putting his stuff in one of the seats as his other classmates came into the auditorium and took their seats. Conan took his and his attention was just on the thought of seeing Ike again sometime. All he wanted was to be in the presence of the musician again. His daydreaming ended up getting him in trouble, however, he gave the teacher the reason why. “I'm sorry I was thinking about my lines for Romeo and Juliet. I'm spacing out because I am running them through my head. So sorry.” he said. But, Conan knew that it was completely far from the normal play. This was more of his own starting to unfold. The teacher shook his head and continued on with the lesson. However, Conan just continued to think of his first love that he had met moments before.
