PERSONALITY, Photography is a major interest of Haven’s and it’s why she pursued it as a career. At night she enjoys reading a good book or writing in her journal. Her interests dabble depending on her mood. Since being in Paris she is going out to try different things. It’s vastly different then the ocean side town back in New Hampshire she grew up in. But she is making friends and those friends are important to her. She is always there for them; her phone is on all the time so if they ever need her she goes to it. Part of haven hopes these friends will be there in the same sense from her. Even if her life has had a lot of negative turn outs, she still remains hopeful that he life will go well. With love, Haven isn’t dating anyone and isn’t trying to. She had her heart broken by her ex husband and still holding a torch for her exboyfriend. Whenever a guy tries to get close, she’ll immediately back off. This has also ended some friendship as Haven as taken a few friendly gestures wrong.
There are a couple noticeable flaws that she posses. One is when she is telling a lie-even one as small as how she is doing-her ears turn slightly red. Also she becomes very introverted when extremely upset and usually only reveals her troubles to a close friend or in her journal. Haven is a complete clutz when she is nervous. She works hard, but isn’t perfect. Also she becomes very introverted when extremely upset, like when she completely pulled into herself. Whenever angry, Haven gets a little....violent. It’s not that she will hit someone. No, she just throws things and goes to her punching bag to unleash.

Haven was born in the United States in New Hampshire. Up until she was seven, her childhood was a very happy one. Her father taught at the high school while her mother worked as an event coordinator. Their life was comfortable even if they weren’t very well off. That would prove to eventually change though. At seven her mother got diagnosed with breast cancer. But it hadn’t been caught soon enough. For years she’s go into remission then it’d come back in full swing. Those were very hard times for Haven. If she wasn’t at school then she was home helping out around the house or spending time with her mother. Haven savored those moments. And that proved worthwhile to savor because when she was eleven, her mother finally passed.
Haven was a mess after that.
The only thing that helped her cope is her mother had filled this old trunk with things for Haven. Letters for each birthday up until Haven turns thirty. Pictures of them together and all of her mother’s journals from childhood until she passed. Momentos from adventures they had and whatever else her mother could think to put in there. The other thing that helped her cope is her best friend KYLE. They had been friends for years and understood the hurt Haven was going through as he was close with her mother too. He helped her get back on her feet and continue with school. The two remained friends all through middle and high school. Eventually, come college, things would change.
Haven and KYLE went to La Lumineuse together-he for writing and her for photography. It was amazing they both got in together. It was in Paris they began to date one another. It was perfect. They had each dated others back home but their romance was different. It felt more real and deep for both of them. They would fight but things would always get resolved. They never had the same courses really so they never had creative fighting. If anything they encouraged one another. They thought they would get married. But that turned out to be untrue.
After being together two and a half years, graduation came around. Haven was starting her career off by doing some fashion shoots before traveling the world. But KYLE didn’t want to go. He begged her to go home with him, to start up a life there. She thought it could work long distance but he didn’t. So he walked away. Haven was heart broken but put it back into her work as she did everything. While working with French Vogue, she met a man there named Damien. He was one of the columnist there. The two, surprisingly, hit it off very well. It was a whirlwind romance and within seven months they had a small ceremony with only immediate family present. He was willing to travel with Haven since he could write from anywhere and life seemed perfect for her. Well, almost near perfect. She thought she was getting over and had forgotten KYLE but then his book came out. His book based on their life but sent semi-fictionally. It was also dedicated to her and her mother along with his parents. That’s when Haven began to unravel. Her heart ached for KYLE so badly that she started fights with Damien. But the two still worked on their marriage.
Still, that didn’t stop him from slipping into bed with another woman. When Haven found out by hearing a voicemail on his phone, she flipped out. He was kicked right out of their home they had taken up in India and he went back to his home in Germany, taking up a new job. At twenty-five, Haven was just lost. Part of her wanted to go back home to new Hampshire but La Lumineuse offered her a teaching position. Her old professor had recommended her for it as he neared retirement since he had followed her work. After much consideration, she took it.
Haven has now been teaching for just under two years. It has been a wonderful experience and on vacations she can still work as a photographer. Grading papers and lectures keep her busy so she doesn’t think of KYLE all too often. But when alone and she stares at her book shelf, the pain creeps into her body. Because whenever Haven goes to the bookstore, she buys a copy of his book and puts a notation in it about where she bought it. It’s a slightly pathetic problem but she has been trying to avoid bookstores for that reason. Now she only goes if an author she likes is there or a friend drags her. Other then that, her life has been a fairly good one. Haven and her father video chat once a week and write letters constantly. She has established some good friends and is getting out to socialize a bit. Sometimes she gets down because she doesn’t have the family she expected to have yet but she remains hopeful she’ll meet someone else soon. After Haven is over KYLE that is.
