PERSONALITY, Jude is a guy who is always cautious. Even though he wanted to pursue his own path, he was very careful of his family’s feelings. And it’s not just with people’s feelings but what they think of him as well. He likes to go out dancing and out to bars but he tries to keep that separate from his home and professional life. He doesn’t want anyone to know how he is with a few drinks in him. Not that he gets drunk very often but he still likes to be very careful. This reflects to Jude’s caring side. When with a girl she is the queen. Jude’s mother and sister taught him how to treat a woman right and he always aspired to have the kind of marriage his parent’s have when it happens someday. He isn’t the best when it comes to flirting though he tries his hardest. Some times it actually works in his favor. He’s just ones who prefers a good conversation over mindless chatter. Only when he’s feeling very frisky does he like to flirt and have a little fun.
While Jude likes some stereotypical dude things-snowboarding, paintball fights, trucks-he also doesn’t like to be a testosterone junkie outdoing his friends. He hates pointless fighting and will avoid a bar brawl any day. Plus, he hates racing cars. Some of his friends do it and Jude just doesn't get it. Perhaps because he was raised to be more soft spoken then out there and crazy. He does have a problem of his words coming off wrong and he sounds superior to other people. It’s gotten him in a few tough situations even if it wasn’t something he meant to do. And with his issue of sorts of being overly cautious, there are times he has passed up great opportunities in order to do what seemed more right. Taking risky chances is very hard for Jude.

HISTORY, Jude grew up as a twin but technically the eldest. He has always been very protective of his sister, even if she has gotten annoyed with him. They two were home schooled through their elementary years but it wasn’t an education that lacked. When they entered what would be the equivalent of US middle school years, they were given the choice to continue learning at the local school, at home or a private academy. The twins decided to get out there and go to a boarding school in Paris. After packing the stuff up they wanted and needed, the twins headed out on their own.
Jude loved boarding school. He made plenty of friends and was able to hone in on his love for writing. Back home he had always written short stories and little bits of plays. As he got older, he was placed in more advance writing and literature courses. It was in his late teens that it was suggested he start looking into writing colleges. The one pushed most is La Lemineuse. When home on vacation he went over the options with his family. They thought it sounded like a good opportunity for him. It was still two years before he could apply but he knew he’d have to stand out in order to get into the school. Jude put all his effort into writing good pieces to put in with his application. He wrote and edited time and time again with the help of his favorite professor from his tenth year. So when the time came to start applying at schools, he felt he was ready to apply to what had become his dream school.
When the acceptance letter, Jude was so excited. He took a weekend to go home and celebrate with his family. His father, a third generation winery owner, thread a large party and invited everyone from the town. It was a very big deal for Jude to get out there, even if his old made hoped the younger man would take over someday. That wasn’t entirely out of the cards for Jude but for now he just wanted to pursue his writing talents. he spent the entire summer before going out to La Lumineuse home with his family. Between writing and preparing to leave, he helped out around the winery. Jude had made a deal with his father if he helped out then his father would pay for an apartment. Just Jude had to get a job to take care of his own utilities and food. It wasn’t easy juggling school and work at the same time. There wasn’t much for work so he had to take up two small time jobs. Those school years were filled with little sleep and lots of cramming. At times he wondered if it was worth it but when he finished his first book, he knew it was.
The book wasn’t a worldwide bestseller but it did well enough for his liking. All he wanted to do was get the words he had in his mind out there. After school he moved back home for a little while to write a second book. While there he helped at the winery but it wasn’t his dream. Jude spent some free time looking for a teaching job of some sorts. It was about all he could do with his degree besides write on his own. After a couple years, he saw a job open at his university. It took a long while before he decided to put his application in, thinking it was a long shot. But, he heard back and got an interview. After that he still figured he probably wouldn’t get the job. Still, Jude was surprised to get a job offer. Apparently they were trying to get more “young blood” at the school to relate to the students more. Jude wasn’t going to complain too much because he needed to get going on a career away from his family. While he loved them he knew when his father retired then he would have to take over. For now he just wanted to be out on his own.
