Puts on his best smile But underneath he's a broken guy Blue shades, matching shirt, a grey vest and a colorful tie were the things Ike managed to put on as soon as he read Hathor’s message. Sometimes he took as long as any girl to get ready, but that was just because Ike liked to look good at all times. A final spray of cologne and he was off the apartment, heading to their usual café. Le Rotonde was a very famous place. Ike visited it some time ago when he first came to Paris and learned to love it. The café had some history, and as any famous place it was often visited by a myriad of tourists but Ike knew the right time of the day when the café was barely occupied and therefore enjoyable. The place had also turned into his and Hathor’s little ‘get together’ place, and Ike wasn’t really joking when he said they should have their own table at that place by now. With all the coffee and sweets they ate it was likely they paid for at least two of the waiter’s monthly check.
Walking into the café he greeted the usual waiters with a smile and took a seat on the usual table. It was almost scary how the waiters all knew his order and merely had to ask a simple ‘the usual?’ when he walked in there with Hathor. Ike nodded and the waiter scurried behind the counter to ready his double vanilla macchiato while he waited for his friend.
There were a lot of things Ike wanted to talk to her about, the main one being stuff about Conan. There were other stuff in his mind, things like a new song lingering in the back of his head which he needed her opinion on, and he also had to ask her about this new guitar he planned on buying but the most important was Conan. Ike knew Conan and Hathor were good friends, and so he wanted to talk to her about his relationship with the drama student before doing anything. Smiling at the waiter and thanking him for the coffee he sat there, staring at his grey sneakers and waited for Hathor to arrive. *--- HATHOR *--- CLOTHES *--- A LITTLE SHORT, HOPE YOU DON'T MIND TEMPLATE BY ROYALSTANDARD OF NS and CAUTION 2.0.

It wasn't everyday Hathor finished all her work much earlier than she planned on. Though somehow, someway today was one of those days where she did. Closing her worn notebook she used to write songs, she sighed happily and sprawled out on her bed. Her Fender DG60 Acoustic Guitar slide of the bed and hit the carpet with a thud as she spread her arms out more. As her fingers stretched out she felt her phone and quickly grabbed it. Turning it on, she saw 3:35 pm flash through her screen. Pretty early...what to do? She thought, subconsciously skimming through her contacts until one caught her eye.
Ike. She texted him, arranging to meet at their cafe. Le Rotonde. It was a nice place, pretty popular with the tourist though. Hathor didn't mind it though, sometimes it was fun to see all these variety of visitors and guessing where they may be visiting from. Soon after agreeing to meet each other; at their usual table of course, Hathor quickly changed from her sweets to something more appropriate. Topping it off with a leopard fedora for that touch of fun, she quickly headed out to the cafe.
Going into the cafe she started to think about what Ike could possibly want to speak about. He did sound eager, well as eager as a text can sound. Whatever it is, she's ready to listen. Hathor waved hello to the waiters before making her way to the table.
She smiled when she noticed that perfectly styled hair. She made her way over to the table till she was behind the unoccupied seat. "Hey Ike, see you promised to stay fabulous." Hathor said, flashing her good friend a smile. She plopped herself down onto the seat. Loking over at her friend, she could see that he had lots to say to her.

Puts on his best smile But underneath he's a broken guy Ike was indeed eager, but not in a good way. He just needed to talk to someone and Hathor was always there when he needed it. It’s not like he could talk to his family back in LA about this, they really didn’t try to peek in his personal life and while he did mention something about getting a boyfriend here in Paris, Ike with a boyfriend wasn’t exactly news to the Nowak household and so they didn’t ask more questions. There was also the possibility of talking to Anouk or someone else but… well everyone had their good share of problems and Ike didn’t want to be an extra burden. So there he sat, smiling when he saw Hathor’s face appear at the café.
“And you just managed to stay awesome, like always.” He replied to her greeting and stood up, like the good gentleman he was, while Hathor sat. “Sorry for sounding like a clingy freak over the phone.” He said as he took his seat back and rested his palms on his chin and his elbows on the table, giving Hathor a combination of a sad and an ‘I don’t know what the hell to do’ look, something not exactly common in Ike. “Ok so… I really need your honest friend opinion on something… I kinda… well not kinda… I broke up with Conan.” He said with a sigh, as if saying it made it completely real and completely true.
Ike had taken his vacation time at LA to think about the relationship he had with Conan. He loved the guy, that was for sure, but Ike couldn’t stop thinking that Conan just loved him a lot more than what Ike loved him, and that just didn’t seem fair. There was also the fact that Ike had never exactly been ready for a relationship when Conan appeared but he just managed to squeal his way into his heart. Ike felt sorry for Conan, for breaking his heart like that and he just wanted either some reassurance that he took the right decision, or someone slapping some sense into him and telling him he did the wrong thing and he should go back crawling to Conan and beg for forgiveness. Hathor happened to be the perfect person to do so, or she was in Ike’s opinion. *--- HATHOR *--- CLOTHES *--- IT WASN'T RAMBLY, IT WAS GOOD TEMPLATE BY ROYALSTANDARD OF NS and CAUTION 2.0.

Hathor smiled dazzlingly as he greeted her back. As he kept going she shrugged "Ehh, It's fine. I'm used to it." She joked, knowing full and well that this wasn't a normal thing with Ike. If a person were to keep track of the times Hathor and Ike have sounded needy and clingy on the phone, her score would definitely go higher than his. Truthfully it worried her a bit, and the look she was receiving from her good friend wasn't making it any better.
Leaning forward a bit, she focused all her attention on Ike as he spoke. "You broke up with Conan?" She asked, with a surprised look on her face. This news definitely took her by surprise. She always thought they loved each other, she never saw or picked up any signs of the relationship going bad. Then again, maybe there was things going on they didn't tell her. If that was the case, they were real damn good at hiding it when she was around. "Why...what happened? Everything seemed pretty peachy with you two the last time I checked." Hathor said, still racking her brain for any signs she missed.
Hathor thought about the last time she saw the couple together and realized she couldn't remember. Maybe that's when it starting messing up. Whatever it is, Hathor would try her best to help Ike out. It's the least she can do with how Ike helps her out. Ike's her best friend after all, ever since her first year at La lumineuse. Their similar personalities and views in life had caused them to instantly click. One might say they were match made in friend heaven. Plus it was him who introduced her to her second best friend, Conan. She's grateful to have meet Ike and now she can't see how she lived without him. .
