PERSONALITY, at first glance, castor seems the type of person to be always in control. as part and heir of the sacra corona unita he HAS to be in control but the truth is that he struggles hard to keep things at bay. to any random person and to co-workers and even to those he calls 'friends' castor appears as a perfect golden boy, a bit cold and distant but still the type of person anyone would like by their side. always the top student, captain of the fencing and tennis team and with an uncanny ability to recite poetry he sometimes seems unreachable. the truth is that castor struggles hard to keep this appearance with almost obsessive efforts. castor carries himself around as a stoic gentleman, never raising his voice and ever patient. as much as he tries there are certain people who manage to break through his act and witness how his words can hurt like a razor blade. highly intuitive and intelligent, castor is also proud and has problems taking orders from others which often leads to conflict within the mafia group gathered here. the truth is that he believes this mission to be a waste of time and would rather be at home building up his empire. a hidden side of castor which barely anyone gets to see is one common among people like him; he sometimes doesn't think he's good enough and would rather be the one dead instead of his brother. over the years this behavior has led him to develop a slight case of obsessive compulsive behavior which is evident whenever he feels stressed or under pressure.

HISTORY, the ghirlandaio family belongs to the sacra corona unita, a criminal organization nested in Apulia. The entire family forms part of the Società Segreta, the highest and most important tier within the organization. From a young age, not much was expected from castor as he was the second son and all responsability fell upon pollux, his older brother. castor still insisted in preparing himself, eventually specializing in hand to hand combat particularly spetsnaz GRU hand-to-hand combat style.
castor grew up under the shadow of his brother pollux, until one day during his brother's initiation something went wrong and he never returned. soon after it was announced that pollux had been murdered and castor would take his place as the heir to the clan. that moment marked castor's life from then on and his efforts to become worthy of the name doubled along with the stress of being named the future leader of the family.
castor made everyone in their family proud, he was just what they expected from a future leader. failure was never an option for him and the only thing that was left was for him to get the official title. his father wasn't ready to let that happen though and so sent him on a 'hunt' to Paris. the excuse was to use this chance as 'final test' for his son. castor, sensing his father's true motifs couldn't do much about it as going against the SCU's wishes was like signing a death deal. castor was arranged to transfer to la lumineuse as a writing student and forced to work with a bunch of people he had never met before, only heard of. of course castor's personality clashed with a few of them and all the time he couldn't stop himself from thinking that this wasn't the place for him to be, but there wasn't much he could do about it.
