HISTORY, anabella is the second eldest child of the lapierre family born in versailles, france. her father had worked as the marketing manager for microsoft, and her mother was a famous supermodel. for a while, things were great. however, her parents were always busy with their work and weren't always home, but ana always tried to make the best of it. even at a young age, she took on a lot of responsibility. she was always looking out for her siblings, and never failed to offer them a should to lean on. it was no surprise that she ended up as a counsellor later on. she was quite an observant little girl, so she knew that the second her parents stepped foot in the house a few months after the birth of madeleine, that things were going downhill. at first, they just continuously yelled at each other. it was a screaming death match, accusing each other that one or the other was never home to take care of the three lapierre's.
for the next three years, they kept trying to make it work. they kept promising the two preteens that they'd work it out, and that if they had to see a couple's therapist, they would. of course, it was no surprise that one of them could never make it to the meeting. the screaming matches and random throwing objects soon stopped. it was replaced by silence. the two just stopped talking to each other entirely. they didn't even dare to look at each other in the eye. it was as if the other didn't exist anymore. but sienna soon fell pregnant again, and it was clear that it wasn't zachary's. that was the last line for the both of them, so one day while the kids were in school, zachary just packed his bags and left. there were no goodbye's, no promises of coming back, and no sweet notes telling them he loved them. he was just gone, and they never heard of him again. with her mother pregnant, anabella was left to take on the role of a responsible mother who wasn't running on hormones. her brother was the typical party boy- even at the age of fourteen. so that left thirteen year old ana to take care of her drunk brother every night and looking after her wheelchair stricken little sister.
still, she never complained. she loved her siblings, and her mother will always be her mother. it wasn't like madeleine could help that she was disabled, and it wasn't her mother's fault. well technically, it was. anabella was never angry with her mother for that though. however, she did miss out on a lot of things that teenagers normally did. she was always sticking her nose behind a book and never tried to socialize with anyone unless they spoke to her first. after nine months, out came matthieu, his father still unknown to the rest of the lapierre's. her mom often blamed the small child for ending her marriage, and always expected dante, madeleine and herself to hate the kid too, but anabella secretly loved the child. she raised the kid in his care without a sign of protest. however, two years ago, their mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. she had been in her early stages then, but it's been slowly progressing, and it's taking a toll on everyone- especially with anabella. after dante had turned nineteen, he had packed his bags and left to go to school in the states. he's been there since, and even got accepted into harvard medical school.
