It was a reflex, in all honesty. She disliked being so close to strangers so when she was pushed out of her comfort zone, she took advantage of every little thing. The metro was probably the best place she could do that. There were so many things going on, so many variables being played in to the equation. It was the perfect chance for her to strike; all she had to do was find a suitable victim. Maybe a mother trying to keep her children under control would prove to be something. Or perhaps a young man listening to his iPod. A gentle smile lit up her eyes as she found what she was looking for. No one really suspected much of a girl bumping in to someone on the metro. It happened all the time with the near sudden stops and starts and then everyone was rushing to get on or get off… It was a common accident and something Jayden knew how to work with.
As another stop approached, Jayden started to inch closer to the young man. It helped that he was standing in front of the doors and she would have to push past him in order to leave. She loosened her grip on the rail and the metro screeched to a halt. Immediately, she stumbled and bumped in to the guy she had set her sights on. “I-I’m sorry! Je suis desolée!” her voice was soft and filled with genuine apologies even though she didn’t mean a single word. Even though she was a tourist, her French was flawless and the guy thought nothing of it as he helped her make it to the doors without falling in to anyone else. “Merci!” she called before bouncing off the train, hand stuffed in the pocket of her jacket. She started to make her way towards the stairs but stopped short as soon as the metro took off again.
She pulled her hand out of her pocket and looked at the black wallet she had managed to extract from the man she bumped in to. With a curious purse to her lips, she opened it up and started to look through it. It wasn’t a… bad score. But it certainly could have been better. There was an I.D. and a credit card but that wasn’t what she was hoping for.
“Tch.”
