ashley usually didn't go to restaurants. she never had anything against them, she just didn't have the money to go to one. and that one day when pheonix had suddenly popped up and suggested on going out somewhere... she really couldn't say no. not just because there was company, but because she never turned down offers. and she certainly didn't turn down offers from someone like him. there was always something about the quiet ones that she liked and liked to mess around with. it was probably the accomplished feeling she got out of it when they reacted in ways that she wouldn't have expected them to.
and ashley was tempted to wear one of her stripper dresses to the restaurant, but she would probably get out. and he would probably never speak to her again. for a minute she thought it would be okay, considering the reaction that she would get out of all the people who looked at her, and especially her 'date'. he was a pleasant guy, the type of person who was all prim and proper. speaking formally using all that proper grammar and stuff. someone who ashley would probably never be friends with if it was a girl.
and then he seemed to know cass rather well. you know, ashley and cass were pretty similar anyways; so if he hung out with the overly hyper first year- pheonix couldn't be that bad of company.. right? ashley didn't have time to answer her own question, because her cousin came in. alyssa looked a bit like her, and she probably could be an exact replica of the model.. except she chose to hide in the corners of her room. ashley mumbled something about going out, but she didn't respond.
le grand vefour. it was a big restaurant on the other side of the town that ashley only dreamed about going to. she didn't have the money. but it didn't matter, because as she called the taxi driver, she looked at the cash she had from selling her pearls and her diamonds. even though the he would probably pay the bill, she had to pay him back somehow.. right? it's not as if she needed those earrings- her ears were clogging up anyways. the blonde paid the taxi driver and she got out, the frigid air piercing her heart more than it did her skin. what if he stood her up? what if it was just a joke that he could laugh about with his friends?
the unemployed model had to stop worrying herself. worry was something that she never did or felt, it only wasted time that she could use to have fun. except she was being a good girl tonight, and she wouldn't be having fun with other boys.. darn. she walked into the warm restaurant, and was seated swiftly. the waiter came over, his blue eyes shining, and ashley found an immediate attraction to him. she almost forgot for a moment that she was on a date, and opened her mouth to say something suggestive.
except, he was faster than her and asked her what she would like to drink. oh, a glass of lemonade please, she said in a smooth voice, reminding herself that it wasn't a place to be screwing around. she spread out the ruffles on her white dress and managed to adjust the halter more times than she should have. as time inched by, she couldn't help but to feel some sense of abandonment that she usually didn't feel. the waiter came over again, and since ashley was anxious for some social contact, she asked in a pleasant tone, do you like your job? [/color] the guy looked flabbergasted, and he tried to mumble up some sort of response, and ashley nodded and smiled. the boy looked down at his shoes and then asked her what she would like to order. oh, no, i'm waiting for someone. i'll order when he comes.. she said, while thinking to herself- if he ever comes.
