It took a while but he forgave her. Years passed and at the age of sixteen, his girlfriend told him he was going to be a father. At first, he didn't believe her. He accused her of cheating and wanted nothing to do with the kid. But after Alexander was born, he wanted a DNA test done. Once it was over, he was proven to be the father.
After apologizing hundreds of times, Natalie forgave him. He changed after he accepted Alex. He became kind and gentle, fatherly. He wanted to become a musician, so after the two parents turned eighteen they moved to Paris in order to go to school for music for him and for her to be a dancer. When Alex turned five, they learned that Natalie was pregnant again. Nine months later, Evangeline was born. All was well until Cain caught Natalie cheating again. Turned out, after Evangeline was born, the children's mother had been frequently sleeping with other men. This hurt Cain, and he left her. A few months afterwards, he came home to find Alexander and Evangeline at his door. The young boy gave him a letter from their mother, which said that she couldn't take care of them alone. She gave him full custody of the children and said that she wouldn't be back, since she wanted to start her dancing career right.
Cain was stunned at Natalie, but took in the children happily. Though he was sad that Natalie had abandoned them, he knew he had to do his best to take care of both of them.
