Anouk raised her eyebrow at his suggestion, not surprised at all of the turn things had taken. After all that was the point of everything, it was what she had been looking for when she had gone partying that night and so far she hadn’t been disappointed. He was like her in so many ways it was scary, she never thought she was going to find someone who wanted exactly the same thing she did and that wasn’t going to ask for something more. In her case it had been always the boys asking something more out of her, either something serious or at least being exclusive to him and that was something she couldn’t give. She never asked for it in her partners, in fact she could give a damn about who the other was screwing when he wasn’t with her, no one of them lasted enough for her to give them more thought than necessary, and she just used them when she was feeling needy. She got the impression Cass was going to be different though, he was going to stay in her life one way or another, she could feel it. And her depressing coherent part of her reminded her that everyone who stayed long enough in her life ended up hurt. Anouk tried to brush the thought off her mind; he seemed like someone who could handle the truth and who wouldn’t fall for her, he was someone who could handle being hurt.
There was the possibility of leaving next morning without giving him a way of contacting her, but she kind of remembered telling him about being in the same school which narrowed down the tracking by a whole lot. It was too late to go back now, and she didn’t mind at all, one night couldn’t hurt right? And this was the reason she was there tonight between his arms. “That sounds like a good plan.” She answered after pondering for a while. She was out of her head, she was a mess, she hurt people and used them but who cared? She never lied about who she was or what she did, and she never gave the boys the wrong impression, they were the ones who got their hopes up with her to have them crushed. She couldn’t have a serious relationship because she was already in love, and no one could break her heart because it was already broken, that gave her freedom in her acts. She ate boys up as if that was going to help her forgetting everything, and it worked until she woke up from the dream and reality punched her in the face as every morning. “I’m not the kind of girl who would say ‘no’ to a hot shower with a hot guy.” Another girl would have refused Cass flatly, explaining they weren’t one night sluts and that sex wasn’t what they were looking for.
How many times she had heard the girls whispering about her down the halls? How many times had she heard that work following her name? Well, she had lost count of it, and Anouk didn’t care because she was true to herself. She had fun, she messed around and she enjoyed it. Was it her fault boys wanted her so bad? No, it wasn’t. At least she wasn’t like them that claimed to not be sluts but then slept around with the first guy who whispered them ‘I love you’ even if it was a lie. Or they did the same thing she did but hided it as if it was some sort of a crime. But the truth was, deep inside her, she wondered if she should change her life, if it really was what she wanted or yearned for, if it was really that fun. Being almost sober had the annoying consequences of thinking and she didn’t want that at all. So it was great when Cass pointed his house was at left and lift her from her feet. “Left… that’s kind of the definition of my life.” She said thinking. Everything she did in life was not right lately so she supposed it was left. She allowed him to carry her all the way to his house and was feeling oddly comfortable in his arms, usually she won’t allow a guy to be that close to her because for her this was only business. In one night she had shared her passion and somehow her soul with a total stranger through her art and now she was going to share his bed and it felt strangely left to do so. But she didn’t want to think anymore, so she prayed the stars for a night worth of good memories.

we're running this town• • • JUST LIKE A CLUBWORDS 803 TAGGED alba & anouk OUTFIT rahr soon to come NOTES buzzkillll!!!!
People liked to whisper, they liked to gossip and they liked to have something to talk about. Cass liked to be talked about so it was just plain perfect. Ever since he entered the academy he strived to make himself known. Whether it was through his art or though his crazy antiques he made sure people knew his name. It didn’t matter if he was just a first year, he wanted to be known, he wanted people to notice him and perhaps that was his biggest flaw. Gossips ranged from him being a total mess, a slut, and a fail of an artist. In that sense, what people said about him wouldn’t be too far from what people said about Anouk. Some said it out of jealousy, some said it because they had partied with Cass and got an idea of what type of person was and others simply repeated and twisted what they heard from others. The truth was very different, so different that people would actually find it hard to believe that Cass was more of a country boy who liked to sit on a couch and watch idiotic chick flicks than anything. Sure, partying and being free of parental control was awesome as well, but that was just a phase, a mask if you want to put it in a way.
Cass wasn’t complicated; if anything he was the simplest guy in the world. He didn’t have a scaring past, he didn’t have hidden loves and he was lucky enough to be talented in what he actually liked. His life was good, it was far from perfect but it was good. He was careless, he was free and people simply couldn’t believe that someone who partied so much didn’t have any underlying problems. Maybe his attention seeking tendencies could be considered a problem but well… no one is perfect. So yes, he and Anouk were so alike in so many ways but at the same time they were different, and perhaps it was what made them click so perfectly fine. Being with a person who is just like you is boring, but Cass just happened to spend the best night of his life with someone who seemingly shared many of his traits. It was too good to be true in a way, but Cass was too drunk and having too much fun to spare any seconds thoughts.
Four blocks later Cass collapsed on a bench, still with Anouk on his arms but managed to gently place her on his lap before pulling his head back and letting out a tired sigh. “Whew, it’s farther than I thought!” His senses of direction and distance were obviously altered by the tequila shots and the midnight painting adrenaline remains. Looking to both sides he recognized the street and let out a surprised yet pleased noise. “This is it, this is my street. That one over there is my place.” He pointed at one of the old fashioned buildings in the front street. The constructions were all similar, old looking but with a Parisian air that it was impossible to deny that this was an old neighborhood. His apartment was on the top floor, a quaint little studio with a large window that allowed the morning light to slip it. It would be lovely if Cass wasn’t hung over most of the time and morning light was such a pain the in the ass. Bringing Anouk up with him again he crossed the street without much regard of any passing cars and stopped in front of his building. “Welcome to Corbett Manor m’lady.” He said with a very heavy and obviously fake accent as he gently placed Anouk back on her feet.
It took Cass a couple minutes to find his keys and even considered the possibility of having lost them in the club but the sneaky things were just hiding in the bottom of his pocket. Before opening the door a sudden and rather disturbing thought assaulted his half sober mind and his blue eyes turned to look at Anouk with a slight tint of fear. “I know this is such a buzzkill but… this is not gonna turn into a creepy need relationship or anything like that, right? Coz I just want one time sex and maybe wave like mad at you while we’re at school and something cool like that. I’m kinda allergic to long term relationships…” Leave it to Cass to be so painfully honest but he really had to make sure! He had the good feeling that there wouldn’t be any problem with Anouk. If he got the right impression of her she was looking for exactly the same thing and neither would have to deal with morning regrets or thoughts of ‘omg what am I gonna do now?’

Alcohol, drugs, bright lights, loud music… that was Anouk’s life; a wild heavy night life of parties and boys. During the day she was just a normal student focused in her art and her studies, spending time with her family and hanging out with friends. But as the sun set and mood took its place she completely transformed into a wild animal thirsty of fun. Why she was doing all this? Because it had become an addiction, a guilty pleasure that gave her sweet hours of a blank mind and no thinking. She felt incomplete and though alcohol couldn’t fill that it did a great job hiding it. She had started with it, then moved to drugs when alcohol didn’t have the same effect on her anymore, it started to make her feel worst but better in a way and so it became an endless circle. When she wanted to realized what was happening it was too late to quit, not that she wanted to anyway. And here she was again, with a stranger not so stranger now, ready to spend the night at his house just like it always happened. Maybe she was really a slut, maybe she really was what people thought and whispered, not that they have a clue of what was really going on with her but since she managed to keep her grades the same way they always did and got always the hottest boys most of those nasty words and gossips were said out of envy.
Did she look like someone who wanted commitment? No, she definitely didn’t have the look and that was why every single boy around her hit on her. Anouk wanted a relationship, a serious one, but not with those boys she hunted at nights, she wanted it with Alex and since she couldn’t she spent her time filling that empty feeling sleeping around with guys like Cass. She laughed out loud when he sat exhausted in a bench with her on his lap. She looked around not recognizing at all the place they were in but it wasn’t as if she cared either, right now she was drunk and just wanted to have a good time. She giggled at his words and rested her head on his shoulder getting sleepy. It was a side effect of alcohol, when it was fading from the system apart from the headaches and the start of a hangover. She drowsily looked around again when Cass exclaimed, saying this was his street and that his house was near. She focused her eyes at the building he was pointing and smiled when he got on his feet again and took her there. “Thank you sir.” She said giggling again. Anouk observed as he fought with the keys and the door. She couldn’t believe what he had asked her, did she really give that impression? Well she didn’t know if she should feel relieved by the fact that she didn’t look like a slut or not. “One night, that’s all you and I are going to have. I’ll be gone before you even wake up.”
It had always been that way with her, no relationships, no feelings attached, no nothing; absolute freedom, just fun and pleasure for a night. If the guy was lucky maybe they would share the bed another night but Anouk got easily bored and she didn’t sleep with the same guy twice or even three times. He wasn’t the only one allergic to relationships; unless it was Alex she wasn’t planning on having one at all, ever; even if he got married and with kids and all that jazz she was going to keep single and cheer for him. But now she was with her fling of the night and it wasn’t tactful to be thinking of one man when you were with other. “I am as allergic to relationships as you are.” She said feeling absolutely positive that tomorrow she wasn’t even going to think about him. It could sound cruel, and it really was, but she just wanted to play. And what was wrong with two people having sex when they knew what was it all about? They weren’t hurting anyone by doing it and the both knew what all this meant, which was nothing at all. It was just sex between two young adults. If people couldn’t see it… well then they can go screw themselves because that wasn’t going to stop her anytime soon. “Are you going to let me freeze here?” she said raising an eyebrow and flashing him a sexy smile.

It was fun and almost scary how alcohol made things look better, more interesting. There was a very cruel saying about alcohol being the only way ugly girls got laid, not that Cass hadn’t banged a couple ugly girls before. Yeah, he definitely blamed the alcohol for that one. The adrenaline had washed away some of the tequila by now though, and Cass was looking at things in a rather clear way. Much to his luck, he was bad while sober almost as bad as he was while drunk. Cass lived to be free, to have no regrets and not always he needed a shot of alcohol to do his will. If he wanted to go cliff diving he could do it sober, if he wanted to bang the gorgeous girl in the bar he didn’t need a beer to win courage. It was what got him a reputation back in highschool and it was what was getting him a reputation now that he was fresh and brand new at the academy. So now that he was almost free of the booze he could say without a doubt that he would still like to sleep with Anouk, drunk or not.
With a satisfied grin on his face, Cass fully opened the door to the apartment building. It was reassuring to know that she wouldn’t turn into a problem. If there was one thing Cass disliked was clingy women. He had only had a couple problems with girls thinking he was the man of their lives and two was too much. Ever since then he took the task to clarify things before actually engaging in any compromising situations. Like he said, it was a buzzkill sometimes and at least three times it cost him the nightly sex but in the end it was a good riddance. Cass didn’t want a relationship, he didn’t want to take care of anyone but himself and that wasn’t about to change anytime soon (troloolol sure!).
The hallway was dark, with only a couple dim lights showing the way. The building wasn’t entirely elegant but it certainly wasn’t in shambles. It was all Cass and his parents could afford. After all Paris wasn’t a cheap place to live in and while his parents had good jobs, taking care of a son abroad made a dent in their finances. Cass didn’t complain, he got the top floor all for himself. It wasn’t even an apartment so that made it cheaper, it was just a large empty floor that Cass was able to turn into a studio. No walls, just art. Guiding Anouk up the stairs he took the trouble to take her hand and guide her up. Cass might’ve been a dicktard and an asshole but every now and then tints of a fine gentleman surfaced. The door looked pretty tattered and Cass only had to use one key to push it open. Who would want to steal an artist’s used stuff anyway? Besides, he kept all the important things at school. “Ta-daaaa, agaaaaaain!” He chanted for a second time as soon as he opened the door to the studio. The half of the ceiling was made out of crystal, showing the floor had been reserved to be some type of failed solarium project. The important things like the kitchen, the bathroom and a worn out living room rested under the solid ceiling while his bed and what seemed to be his working place were placed in the back of the studio, where the crystal ceiling was. “Here, let me show you something.” He smiled at Anouk and once again grabbed her hand to guide her to the bed. Carrying her up bridal style he dropped her on the bed and jumped next to her, laying face up with an arm pulled beneath his neck to serve as pillow. “Isn’t it brilliant?” He fixed his eyes on the image above the crystal ceiling. Paris’ lights were too bright to allow any of the small stars to be seen but the bigger ones shined brightly along with a yellow moon. Turning to Anouk he stared at her for a few seconds before extending his hand in a clear greeting. “I’m Ciaran Cassidy Corbett, and I would like to know your name even if you don’t plan to remember mine. You know, in case my grandchildren ask who painted that bloody awesome piece of artwork from the metro.” He wiggled his eyebrows in a rather cute way. They could have sex, and they could forget about each other the next morning but even if it was just for a single moment, Cass wanted to know her just a bit more.

Love, romance, lovey-dovey… Anouk wasn’t the girl for that. She was allergic to compromise and everything that had to do with it, the longest relationship she had lasted a week and she was going to keep it that way. She chased boy after boy not caring what people said of her and the whispers she heard, it was jealousy and envy because they couldn’t do the same and certainly not with the guys she did. Anouk was rather picky when it came to boys, she wouldn’t just sleep with anyone that moved, not at all. Brain didn’t matter, all she looked for was the body and the pleasure they could bring to her and how much time they could keep her entertained. She couldn’t get the one she loved so what was the point in trying with another one? It wasn’t going to be the same but she wasn’t just going to sit and cry over the matter, she was going to get out and eat the world hoping one day her suffering would end one way or another. She was reckless, could care less what happened to her and that was the reason she got into drugs, alcohol and parties in the first place. Anouk had always been a party animal, just not in the level it was getting now. Cass guided her up the stairs and opened the door, she laughed and looked around. Raising an eyebrow she laughed again as he carried her to the bed and dropped her there. She looked up amazed at how beautiful the sky was and how lucky he was to enjoy such views. “Indeed.”
She shook his hand again chuckling. She remembered introducing herself back in the street. It was true Anouk didn’t plan to remember his name the next morning, unless he screw her brain out of her body in which case she would like to repeat with him and see how much he could keep her entertained. But that was something that rarely happened and once she slept with the guy she always got tired of them and moved on to her next prey. Alexei liked to pick on her because of that but she could honestly care less, well it hurt her but at least it caught his attention which was the whole point really. “I’m Anouk Lirienne Fournier. Don’t you dare calling me by my second name, I hate it. And you are right, as hard as it sound I probably won’t remember your name tomorrow.” She said laughing a bit and looking at the sky again. She was covered in paint, she had a great blast and now she was about to sleep with a hot guy, well she couldn’t complain about her night at all, she had the three elements of her list checked and she had a lot of fun. Definitely the night had been a win; she even painted a mural on a metro station! Even if she said Cass she was going to forget his name, truth was that she will probably remember it.
Anouk hadn’t thought about the chance of them meeting in school, not at all. If she was another girl it would have been embarrassing but being who she was Anouk could actually care less. She will wave at him and go on her way just like that. “I think we need a shower.” But now she was here and she was planning on enjoying the night until it was time for her to part and go for the next one. She looked around the room for a door leading to the bathroom, a hot shower was the key for amazing sex, at least for her and then they could carry on the bed because they had some hours ahead. “Care showing me where is it? Maybe I can even share.” Some guys thought she was too… controlling. She liked to be the one in control of the situation, she knew what she wanted and she knew how to get it and she liked having the lead. No, she wasn’t about to allow any given guy doing whatever he pleased with her, unless the guy was worth in which case she could do an exception. Anouk had the feeling Cass would be an exception to the rule, she knew about his reputation as well as she was sure he knew hers.
