-- maureen couldn't be more excited. it had seemed like she had been waiting ages to go to the spa with one of her best friends, anouk. it had seemed like a good idea at the time, and now it was just excellent. she could tell she needed a good trip to the spa, as well as a girl's day. she ached all over from long hours in the dance studio, and multiple hours bent over her desk studying. of course her recent trips to clubs hadn't helped her exhaustion. maybe some changes were in order. she knew it probably wouldn't happen, even if she really wanted it to.
-- she grabbed her phone and shot a quick text to anouk. can't wait to see you at the spa!
she knew anouk really needed the day out as well. she hadn't really seemed herself when they had ran into each other a few days ago. another girls day is exactly what they needed, and maybe she would find out what exactly was bothering her friend. maureen finished getting ready and headed out to her car. it was outside of town, but the spa would be worth the drive. when was the last time she had even been to the spa? -- it took her a little less time than she had though it would, and found a decent parking spot. she wondered if anouk was here yet. if she wasn't already, she should be here shortly. maureen made her way into the lobby and waited until anouk got here before she checked them in. maureen was earlier than she usually was, so she made herself comfortable on a sofa. the spa was wonderful, and very cozy. she couldn't wait to start their day of beauty and relaxation [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Her life hadn’t been the usual since Alexei broke her heart, she didn’t feel like partying or being with guys, she didn’t feel happy or cheerful, she wasn’t even up to fake she was. The only thing that hadn’t change in Anouk’s life was alcohol, she had kept drinking and drinking hoping one day she would drink enough to kill herself or something. Cass kept her entertained but it wasn’t the same for both of them and she knew. Her life was going downhill, one day she was at the top and now she couldn’t even get up from the hole she was in. And she could do nothing about it, not that she wanted either, she was better this way, better killing herself.
Anouk shook her head and packed her things, she smiled when her mobile beeped and she read the text from Maureen. It had been her luck to run into her and it took all her willpower to fake her happiness and everything. She needed a good outing with a friend that could cheer her up, and this was the best chance she had. Getting into her car and turning the engine on she drove to the spa without paying much attention to the road ahead of her, her mind was somewhere else. Anouk didn’t tell Maureen a thing, the girl had enough with what she had and well it was time to have fun not to remember bad memories and end up crying.
When she parked her car she walked to the lobby and smiled as she spotted her friend sitting in a sofa. “Were you waiting for long?” She smiled down at her friend and with her sunglasses on her hand she nodded her head toward the checking desk. “I reserved the other day so they are waiting for us, let’s get the fun starting.” Winking at her she walked toward the desk and gave her name, the guy gave them the keys for their rooms and told them where to find things.

-- maureen couldn't help but just think of things while she was awaiting anouk's arrival. she really didn't like that school and dancing took up so much of her time. her friends had always been an important part in her life, and now they were pushed to the back burner. time had to be made for them. maureen didn't even know what was really going on in her friend's lives. it made her feel horrible. but everything was going to change starting now.
-- her thoughts were stopped when anouk arrived and walked up to her. maureen shook her head and smile. "nope. not long at all." as anouk motioned towards the counter, maureen got up and smoothed out her clothes. she was getting more and more excited about their spa day! maureen waited while anouk checked in, and a guy handed them their keys and told them where everything was at. everything was so luxurious and nice. instantly, maureen felt more calm and relaxed. every stress and worry was slowly melting away and they hadn't even really started yet!
-- after changing, maureen met anouk in a small waiting area where they could decide exactly what they wanted. "what shall we enjoy today? a little of everything perhaps?" maureen said giggling. "it's so nice here. we needed this, didn't we?" she asked her friend, smiling. not only was it great to spend time with anouk, but it was nice to just forget about everything for a day and be pampered. this was a lot better than just painting her nails and home and taking a long soak in the bath.

Anouk wasn’t the same girl she was before; she had lost the will to pretend to be alright anymore but she kept trying because she was still alive. That was the sentence that she repeated in her head over and over again, that she was walking, breathing and her friends were still there. That’s why she was there today in the Spa with Maureen instead of home digging on her misery. She smiled to Maureen when she confirmed she hadn’t been there for long and nodded taking care of the rest. Anouk was used to luxury and expensive things because of her father so she was quite known in the Spa already. Anouk gave Maureen her key and went to change herself.
She met Maureen shortly after that in the waiting area ready to guide her friend around the spa. What she needed was… to relax and stop thinking because Alexei kept popping on her mind time and time again. “Let’s go to the pool area first?” She said walking toward the doors of the white clean spa to an area where small pools and big pools were around. She went to one in the corner with some petals and the smell of lavender, the water was even so it was very comfortable to be there and very relaxing. “We so needed this.”
She looked around and listened to the laughter of the people around them, the soft background music, the whispered voices and the water, neither hot not cold and her muscles started to relax and for the first time since the big fight she started to feel… better. “Well darling, tell me, how’s everything going? Are you still training so hard? At least I hope school is worth it.” Anouk spent a good quality time in school, especially since she started to avoid Alexei and so her grades never dropped even when the rest of the time she spent it partying and sleeping around. That was good otherwise her parents would have suspected something was going very wrong… but it was just inside of her, outside her no one could notice even she had grown thin and paler and was looking not like her usual self people never paid enough attention to look so close.
