Since he was very careful when at the school, Jude really treated her well when outside those walls. Tonight he was taking her out to dinner then maybe do some late night window shopping if she wanted. What happened after the food was really up to her just he had made a reservation at Le Procope. Most places around here besides small cafes it was always safe to make reservations at. Some nights were busier then others and Jude didn’t want to risk a long wait or not getting in at all. Though he and Saffron had been dating a couple months, he still liked trying to impress her. His way of trying to do that was a lot more toned down then in the past because she didn’t seem to be a girl who liked extravagant things. Or that’s the impression he has gotten so far. Maybe down the line that could change but Jude was liking the fact that they could just lounge around watching a movie or grab a bite to eat without the pressure of one uping the last date.
Since they were meeting at the relationship, Jude grabbed his apartment keys and headed on out. His car was currently in the shop getting fixed so he couldn’t exactly pick her up which he was kicking himself for. He prided himself in being reliable when it came to a relationship. With a cap pulled over his close shaved head and a leather jacket on, he began the walk to the restaurant. He really didn’t mind walking around himself. Living in Chablis he didn’t use his car very much, preferring to just walk around the town. Or take a bicycle. But he wasn’t sure what they were doing after dinner and didn’t want to have to drag it around wherever they went. Plus it was a pain having to lock it up all the time. Especially at night when you couldn’t always see what you were doing. Hopefully Saffron understood Jude just wanting to meet up this time.
As he was about a street away from the restaurant, Jude counted how lucky he was to himself again. He hadn’t really planned on dating anyone at this time. But then Saffron was in his class this semester and he had a fairly great debate with her. He actually sought out more discussions on great literature and debates on authors with her. He was intrigued by the girl who seemed so shy in class but was a chatter bug when they got together. Even though he knew it was probably wrong, he asked her out on a proper date. Roughly two months later, here they were now. He was the one being careful about showing affection around other’s at La Lumineuse. When out he was always trying to hold her hand or give her little kisses. Jude was careful not to push much further since she wasn’t ready for that. Everything was at her pace. Some nights he got frustrated but once he calmed down he would apologize. Sometimes hormones got rushing at it was difficult to just shut it off. He was trying to keep himself from getting to that point though, even if it meant avoiding too long of time at his place. There were times he felt guilty for wanting to go out instead of staying home but there were times he felt guilty for doing the opposite. They just needed to get past this semester and hopefully they could be more open about things.
Reaching the restaurant he didn’t see Saffron right away so he leaned against the wall. Jude fiddled with his zipper while waiting. There were times he still felt like a teenager.

Standing in the light now Standing here right now for you Saffron was nervous, but was that really a surprise. She had a date tonight, and that was something to be excited about, she loved the evenings when she got to see Jude. It was so difficult for her to pretend to be nothing more than his student at home. It was almost painful at times, especially seeing him with the other teacher, the pretty woman who was always making eyes at him. They could hang out together at the school with no one the wiser, and it seemed Jude didn't necessarily seem to notice his female friend's advances... not that it made her feel any better about the situation. Staring at her reflection in the mirror, she gazed at her features, the other woman was very pretty, but she was lovely too... especially dolled up for tonight's venture, he was taking her somewhere nice, so she'd taken time to look extra nice. A vintage dress she'd found in a thift store complemented her complexion beautifully, falling above her knee it showed enough leg to be alluring, without being inappropriate. More vintage jewelry adorned her neck, ears and fingers. It was just enough to complement the outfit without overdoing it.
A deep breath, a light coat of lipstick and spritz of perfume, then Saffron was ready to go. Her lightly curled hair bounced around her features as she slid on a pair of heels and grabbed her purse verifying her keys and wallet were in it. Leaving her apartment and locking the door Saffron was on her way, a slightly dreamy expression on her features and a coy smile causing her lips to curve up slightly. She was eager to meet up with Jude, not minding in the least that he couldn't pick her up. Saffron didn't expect him to treat her like a princess, she didn't mind his affectionate behavior towards her, but she could manage on her own. However it was a well known fact, to both of them, that she attracted trouble from strangers with the ease off an intentional troublemaker. She didn't mean too of course, but her dreamy nature caused her to appear like she was an easy target to those who were interested.
Jude did confuse her at times, she mused this as she walked, her heels clicking on the sidewalk. He had sought her out, but she'd be honest in saying he'd drawn her attention from the moment that they'd met. She'd been charmed, attracted to him from the second that the first class began. She'd been quiet in class, her typical shy persona shining through in the beginning, it was hard for her to be outspoken, three brothers made that nearly impossible. But she'd enjoyed her conversations with her teacher, she was drawn into the elaborate conversations, and had enjoyed spending time chatting with him. He'd been the one to ask her out, and she'd said yes, yes in a heartbeat, and for her it had been love at first sight, and in this relationship... she'd thrived. But he went fairly slow, she was young but she wasn't a fool, and she had hormones like any young woman. A few months and they'd hardly passed the initial phase of holding hands and gentle kisses. She was naive, but not a fool, plus she read romance novels. Flicking hair over one shoulder as she walked, she spotted the restaurant and then promptly spotted Jude, and her smile lit up her features. Her pace quickened as she threw her petite body at Jude, quickly enveloping her beloved into her arms. "Hello mon cherie, where you waiting very long?"
Wrapping her arms around his neck, the dark haired student smiled happily, dark eyes dancing with mirth. "Sorry I'm late, I took a bit long getting ready." Kissing him lightly, her cheeks turning pink at her forward behavior, she might have wanted more attention from the man, but it didn't mean she was experienced in the least, and she did get flustered easily.

Usually Jude moved....fast with a girl. Something kept holding back with Saffron. Not that she wasn’t attractive and didn’t do it for him-because she did it for him. It’s just he saw she was actually something special. Maybe something that could go past just a few months. While he never predicted where he’d end up or who’d he’d marry, Saffron was the type of girl he wanted to end up with. He was sort of like a little school boy with how he wasn’t pushing things. Again, not the horn dog school boy but that innocent youth of maybe ten with his first “girlfriend”. Jude felt like holding back and it probably made him seem a little less masculine. Also, because he was very careful not in his apartment. While the chances of running into a student around here were slim, it didn’t happen. Since Saffron was still a student it was touchy grounds. She could get kicked out and he could get fired. Part of Jude felt like perhaps it was that fear holding him back from getting more physical at any point.
Jude loved when he pulled Saffron into his arms. For years he had seen his parents relationship and they spent a lot of time in close proximity together. Sometimes he idolized their relationship a bit too much. As she pulled away a smile formed across his face. Part of him felt bad that he didn’t seem to have put in nearly as much effort. She looked so much nicer and so much prettier. ”You always look perfect. And I apparently always fail.” His playfulness came out which probably reflected in his attire. While he was a teacher part of him wasn’t entirely ready to grow right up. He tried his best to balance the seriousness and the more unserious side of him as it did help him with his writing. That was one thing his father didn’t like so much but the two clashed about so many things. Jude slid his hand down to grip hers as they moved into the restaurant. He was eager to try this new place. ”So what’ve you been up to today mon cherie?” While it was cheesy to use such a cliche French nickname, he thought it fit her. And he had
