PERSONALITY, despite her slightly radical appeareance, rae has never really strived to be noticed by anyone. it's just her hair color, really! rae comes off as a quiet person, very drawn into herself but not in a narcissistic way. she tends to get lost in her thoughts a lot and often people has to snap their fingers in her face for her to return to reality. she's a nature freak and a bit of an activist as well. her chosen subject, photography, comes from her love of nature. she's very open to friendships and welcomes anyone who wants to be her friend and even those who don't. she's a bit of a pushover in that aspect, always trying to please people as much as she can. it wouldn't be the end of the world if they don't like her though, but at least she'd be able to say she tried.
a major trait in her personality is her disorder. rae suffers of paranoid personality disorder due to events in her childhood. her parents never let her sink in the dark pit though and struggled hard to make her receptive to treatment. antidepressives, antipsychotics, anti-anxiety pills, she takes them all along with her morning lucky-charms after a long struggle from her parents to convince her that they didn't want to poison her. Luckily enough, the good days are a lot more common than the bad days, and even then she's able to handle it well enough. very rarely something gets in the way of her and her medications, and that's when stuff turnsfun messy.

HISTORY, Rae grew up right in the center of Manhattan in a luxurious apartment with her mother, father and nanny. Her father, the CEO of an insurance company and his mother, entrepreneur involved in the internet business saw their lives brightened with the birth of Rae, their little sunshine. Despite the existing cliché of rich kids being raised by nannies and servants they strived to be different from the rest and dedicated a lot of time to their precious girl. Sure enough, Rae grew up to the age of 13 to be a fine lady, but also with a caring view of the world that she shared with her mother. Everything was dandy and Rae had already shown signs of having an interest in art when everything changed and went down the drain. Her father had attracted too much attention with his company's dealings with some head honcho from Dubai which would make him one of the wealthiest men not only in New York, but in America. One afternoon while Rae skipped her violin lessons she was kidnapped...
The event changed their lives forever. Rae spent an entire week in captivity as her father's associates refused to pay the ridiculous amount of money they asked for the girl. The negotiations ended up with a box which arrived to Alexander's office. It contained Rae's right toe. Needless to say the associates understood it was serious enough and agreed to pay the rescue.
The sequels were of course expected. Rae and her family were left scarred, physically and mentally, and soon enough her parents noticed she was developing a paranoid pattern; it was understandable, Leonore's side of the family had certain background with mental health issues but it wasn't until Rae started accusing her own parents of being against her that they noticed something was very wrong. Those were hard years but in the end they pulled through, together as a family. After being done with highschool Rae wanted to prove her parents that she wasn't a porcelain doll that would break if you stared too hard and somehow convinced them to let her come to Paris. The first year she spent it under close surveillance but after seeing she would be ok, she was left alone. Now Rae lives a happy life and if anyone asks about her past she smiles and says she's a paranoid freak because well, it's kinda true.
