quinn is a stubborn and determined individual, but that doesn't mean he's not prone to random bouts of laziness. everyone once in a while he slips into a mood where he just doesn't want to do anything - even go to work. he doesn't enjoy getting up early and tends to fix his problems with a cup of coffee or tea. this has earned him a severe caffeine addiction and, besides water, those things are the only drinks he'll consume. however, despite his lazy moments, he is extremely determined and organized. he doesn't enjoy leaving projects unfinished and once he starts one, he'll continue on with it until satisfied.
unfortunately, quinn is extremely empathetic. he has a mindset that allows him to envision himself in someone elses shoes. he cares a lot of his patients and does his best to help him. because he is so empathetic, he sometimes has a tendency to slip into a depression. he does his best to ignore it but a lot of the times it is hard. he's even more quiet when this happens.

HISTORY, quinn tyrus chevalier was the middle child along with his twin brother demitri. though they were both born to his French father and North American mother in nevers, france, their family soon moved to san francisco, california so their mother could be with her ill family after they were born. avery, demitri, and quinn grew up speaking both english and french fluently and without any problem. the chevalier family was perfect in almost every sense.
quinn and demitri grew up clinging to each other's side. like most twins, they preferred the other's company to any one else. they were close to avery, their older brother, but what they had for each other was stronger. quinn was older than demitri in personality and age. granted, it was only by a few minutes but, as they grew, he matured sooner and took care of his younger brother every step of the way. though, what quinn had, demitri lacked. the younger twin was always bullied as he grew up: by this father pressuring him to be more like his smarter, more athletic brother, by other students because he was an easy target, and by avery simply because they were siblings and he could. whenever quinn wasn't around, people were ruthless to the young twin. demitri's low self esteem wasn't helped by the bullying and, eventually, demitri turned to drugs when they entered high school. quinn knew something was wrong but demitri started to drift and he couldn't figure out what it was. by the time he did, it was too late and demitri was put into the hospital due to an overdose. he died later that night at the age of seventeen. quinn was absolutely devastated and slipped into a hard depression. the whole family went to counseling about the incident but quinn also sought out help in a separate and personal therapist.
