HISTORY, jeffery was naomi's doctor when she got hurt in the olympics. when they had alyssa, both of them swore that they would never let their daughter become involved in sports. however, alyssa started swimming in high school and her high school coach told her that she had the potential to be the best in the world. with much begging and fighting, her parents let her swim when alyssa walked out of the house and went to her aunt's home in italy. alyssa soon developed borderline personality disorder, when people on her swim team realized at how bipolar and how depressed she seemed. her swim coach instructed her to take a break in paris before she starts competing again.
while in paris, alyssa has started modeling for the playboy magazine because she has no idea what to do and what to be like. she has no one she knows in paris, and she hates feeling useless and wasting time. she doesn't like to have 'alone' time when she isn't doing anything productive. and so the girl has been trying to please other people. her parents and her swim team has cut off contact from her so that she can 'focus' and get better. except, alyssa seems to be getting worse.
