there was rarely a time in the year when theo called a class off because of his hangover or the fact that he was sick, but that's what he did today. as soon as he saw some students walk in the door, he told them that class was cancelled, marked their name down, and then waited some more. the last name on the list was scarlett, a student that he didn't mind waiting for. she was always talkative and cheerful, and to be completely honest, theo always looked forward to seeing her during the day. he sat at the front desk and waited for her to emerge through the door. he tapped his pencil, unintentionally making his hangover worse than it already was. he watched the clock and then glanced up when scarlett entered the classroom. he immediately smiled at her and said "hey scarlett." and then leaned forward in his seat.
she had always been attractively appealing to theo, and what she was wearing today made him appreciate what her mother had endowed her with. it wasn't hard for theo to appreciate that though, because he didn't mind what shape a woman came in. he loved them all. he wasn't a one kind of girl man. "i'm sorry but class was cancelled today." he stood up and then shifted so that he could sit against his desk at a closer distance to scarlett. he flashed her his warm smile and then glanced at the door again. "i do have to complement you on your most recently photography though. it was outstanding." he grabbed a photo that he been hiding under his notebook and held it out for her. "this one was my favorite."
theo wouldn't deny that he would love to have a chance with scarlett, but he felt that there was no chance for him. he shifted back again and then crossed his arms over his nice blue collar shirt, making his muscles apparent. he glanced at her with his sky blue eyes and smiled again, waiting for her to say something.

As always, Scarlett was running late. That morning she had woken up feeling good for some reason and when she went to look at the clock, it was already nearing nine. She had rushed quite a bit, slapping on slightly less makeup than usual, mainly doing her eyes before throwing a dress over her body and pushing up a short pair of denim jeans. It was one of her favorite lessons of the day so that was the reason as to why she was rushing, she liked her teacher. More like lusted over him really. He was hot. She wouldn’t blame herself though, most girls in the class lusted over him so what was wrong with a little bit of puppy crush here and then? Throwing a small jacket over her dress and her camera in one hand, she rushed down the steps of her apartment and almost ran to the academy, hoping that she wouldn’t be that late.
Once she made the Academy, she made a face, why had she decided to wear heels for today? Taking a deep breath, she put her camera around her neck, thanking God that she didn’t throw it accidentally on the floor while she was running before coming to a stop in front of the classroom she was supposed to be in ten minutes ago. Her chest heaved up and down as she forced a smile onto her face quickly when the professor finally saw her. Putting her arm down as she finally caught her breath, her smile widened but then her lips turned into a small pout. “It’s cancelled? Why sir?”
She entered the classroom, who cared if the class was cancelled? She had a moment alone with her teacher and he was speaking to her, it would be rude if she just ran off wouldn’t it? Even though most students would be annoyed for having to come in to school so early only to learn that it was cancelled, Scarlett really wasn’t. At least she wouldn’t be late to her next class. Her pout wiped off her face, a smile pushing itself back onto her features quite quickly as she followed his hand that was holding onto her photo. Moving closer to her teacher, she took the photo off of his hand and looked at it. “Why thank you sir, I’ve got to say, it was one of my favorite to take as well.” It was a picture of herself and her father at a daddy-daughter dance thing that always took place where they lived. It was one of her favorites.

theo glanced up at the clock on the wall to see what time it was. he didn't want to keep scarlett from her next class. well actually, he didn't mind this alone time that they had together. keeping her here wouldn't be so bad, right? well, as long as his bad intentions stayed to himself. he listened as she responded to him saying that class was cancelled. he shook his head and said "to begin with," he held up a hand, his eyes closing just slightly when the sunshine peeked through the classroom windows "i would much rather you call me theo or ajax. sir is a little proper. i think." he shifted back a little so that the sun didn't hit his eyes directly. he run his right hand through his hair and then glanced up at scarlett again, smiling at her. "and it's cancelled because of my mistake of drinking a little too much." theo cringed just slightly. she was the only one he had forwardly told that. he was sure that the rest of the students could figure it out themselves without theo saying something about it.
theo watched as her face lit up and something inside of him warmed. it had been a long time since theo had allowed himself contact with a female. quite frankly, it was nerve racking. the adrenaline that was pumping through him right now was reaching his ears and making them ring. he had guessed that it was her father that had been in the picture with her, but he hadn't been completely sure. he stood up and walked around to his desk, opening the top right drawer, and pulling out a picture of him and his ex fiancee slow dancing together. he turned and, hesitating just slightly, handed the picture to scarlett. "pictures like those are worth more than people can understand. keep it. cherish the moment that was captured." he gently took the photo back from her, returned it to it's rightful place, and then glanced up.
"you know," he started to say. "if you needed a ride back to your place, i'd be more than happy to give one to you. it's my fault that you had to come all the way here." he watched her, internally hoping that she would accept his offer. that would mean that they would have more alone time together, and this being the first time that he had actually communicated with some one meant something.

Already thoughts of missing the next lesson were going through Scarlett’s head, she didn’t seem to care about classes anymore, ever since she had become ill, gone through some annoying and horrible events in her life, she didn’t find herself caring about school work anymore. It was only the photography that made her force herself to get out there and work her butt off. After all, most teachers and professors here gave you extra time to finish off projects if needed, and when Scarlett did put her mind to the work she had to complete, it was always done within the next few hours. An eyebrow realized quizzically as Theo put a hand up, but soon her face relaxed into an easy smile and she shrugged her shoulders. “Alright then, Theo.” She emphasized the word with a small giggle trailing off at the end. “Am I allowed to call you that in class? Or would you prefer if it was just between us?” Was she flirting? Scarlett had no idea, she hadn’t used those skills on a male in quite a while; if she was then she was hoping that it would work.
Shaking her head at him when he revealed that the reason he had cancelled class was because he was hung-over, she let out another small laugh, a few tuts escaping from her mouth. “Very bad, don’t you know you’re not supposed to drink on a school night?” Rolling her eyes once, her friendly, easy smile was placed back on her face. She had a charming smile, or most would say, it was one of her quick pull charms that she used whenever she needed something and for her, it always seemed to work. Waiting for a few seconds next to his desk, her fingers lightly trailed the folders on his desk as he went around it to pick something up. Looking at the picture that was handed to her, with a small smile, she listened intently to what he had to say before allowing the small photograph to slip out from between her fingers. “I always cherish moments between myself and the people I know, that’s why I take photographs.” Picking up the camera from around her neck, she gave it a little shake as if she were presenting it before allowing it to take it's place back against her chest. Smiling, she looked at the place where the picture was now put back onto before deciding to speak again. “Your fiancée I presume? What happened…if you don’t mind my asking?”
Scarlett wasn’t the type of girl that demanded an answer…well that was a lie, she only demanded an answer if it had anything to do with her, but Theo and his fiancée had nothing to do with her so if he simply refused to answer, she wouldn’t be upset about it. Suddenly, a flirty smile was placed back on her face, thoughts about the next lesson already escaped from her mind as she nodded. “Sure, you owe me that much at least.” Raising an eyebrow once more, she turned around, slowly walking towards the door while waiting for him to catch up with her. Well this was going to be quite interesting.
