HISTORY, carter was the first of two grandchildren born into the valantine family. his mother and uncle where the only two born which made it a small family from the beginning, but it also made them close since that was all the family that they had. carter was conceived by his mother and her boyfriend at the time. his mom had been seeing his father while she was at school in england. he turned out to be a jerk after he abandoned her when he found out that she was pregnant. after that she moved back home to new york where she could be closer to family, that was when the family became really close. family was everything to the valantine clan, they believed that without them you had nothing.
a few years after carter was born his mother started working at carters uncle's company where she became a partner, so she was often away on business trips which is when carter would stay with his grandmother on the upper east side. a couple years later carters aunt eliza became pregnant with a little baby girl, growing up as an only child was lonely and since she was born carter thought of aero as his little sister. they grew up doing everything together, until carter started to run with the wrong crowd at school. it got to the point where he was getting kicked out of school. his mother didn't know what to do, so when he got kicked out of his fifth school because he was caught doing drugs, his mother sent him to military school.
he came back from that a changed man. he was eighteen when he graduated in the top of his class. he started his writing again and became successful, selling three by the age of twenty. he did work with the wild life fund and habitats for humanity. after a few years of traveling he decided to return to school to learn more about writing. he wanted to major in international studies but after he enrolled at la lumineuse he changed that plan to major in writing. he started taking international studies online through a school back home in new york.
carter felt the worst about leaving aero behind, and swore that he would be the best big brother every, he always looks out for her. that was one reason he decided to go to school in paris. they had always been close growing up, even when they were traveling or he was away at military school, they still wrote letters. carter hated to email, he always thought that there was nothing better then a hand written letter. now all carter wants to do is protect aero and make his family proud.
