She'd seen the attractive female around campus before, though they'd never really talked until recently. The two of them had had a few drinks the night they were introduced, okay maybe more than a few, and seemingly clung around each other most of the night. Trill had begun to form a small crush on the lass, having hung out with her once since. She was curious about Madi, which led her to want to learn more about the young lady. The brunnette usually didn't really enjoy most peoples company, and although she was a little bubbly for her taste at times, there was something about the woman that drew Trilly in. Looking forward to seeing her again today she sent a quick 'leaving soon' text before shoving the device into the pocket of her jeans.
Striding toward the full length mirror Trillian double checked her appearance. Her shapely legs were covered with torn acid-washed jeans, a black lace tank top worn over her torso. Nodding in approval to the reflection she grabbed a pair of black leather boots, slipping them on before reaching for the helmet sitting on her dresser. Snatching the keys hanging from a hook near her door she opened it up, greeted by one of her and Rae's many cats. She crouched down, petting the animal affectionately on his head as it meowed insistently. "Hey BoBo," her soft lyrics cooed to her feline, standing once more and closing the door behind her. She walked into the kitchen of the apartment she shared with Rae, the heavyset grey creature tagging along at her feet, meowing still. "I know, I know, food." It wasn't odd for Trillian to talk to her animals, in fact she treated them too much like humans at times. At least Rae understood her love for furry critters, even having the same passion. It worked well, until they both began bringing home stray animals. Their apartment had since turned into a foster home for those in need, not that Trill minded. She adored caring for them all.
Retrieving the cat and dog food from one of the cupboards she filled the three cat dishes and one dog bowl they had, the noise stirring their lazy sleeping canine and causing three more kittens to scurry from all corners of the apartment. Shaking her head with a laugh she took a second to pet each of the mammals, putting the food back in it's place and glancing at the clock. It was just past four, perfect timing. She walked around the counter, picking up her leather jacket that rested on the back of one of their dinning room chairs. She slipped her arms through it, seized her helmet once more, and then left the apartment- locking it behind her.
Taking the steps from her apartment two at a time she rounded a corner to the parking lot, her gaze automatically seeking out her prized possession, a sleek silver Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R. She came to the side of her mechanic beast, admiring it for a second before straddling aboard. She placed the key in it's ignition, revving it's engine to life. 'Safety first', she thought sarcastically with a smirk as she pulled the helmet over her head, knowing she was all but safe when riding her bike. Kicking away the stand Trillian backed it out of the parking spot before whipping out of the lot as a speed clearly breaking the limit.
It didn't take Trill long to reach the Lumineuse dorms where Madison lived, and she pulled off the road, slowing her speed and coming to a stop at the curb outside it. She snagged the phone from her pocket once more, sending a quick 'meet me outside' message and returning it to her jeans. While waiting she took a cigarette from the pack in her jacket, lighting it and inhaling the smoke.

Madison hated work. She hated writing, and designing tests, and coming up with assignments for her students... everything, really. Why had she taken a major in English and teaching, then? The answer was a little more complicated than it seemed. It wasn't just that she wanted to teach people and help kids reach their potential, though honestly, that was part of it. It was the fact that she had been in a hurry to get away from her home, and if that meant closing her eyes and pointing at some random major to take... well, okay, she hadn't done that exactly. What she had done was close, though. She had picked the one that caught her interest first, which had been teaching. Teaching English, to be specific. It wasn't too bad, honestly, but all the work... Plus, she had to wake up insanely early in the morning, which was never good for the girl that was used to sleeping in until around noon. Well, Madison supposed that this was the life of an adult, and she was just going to have to accept that. She could do that. Grading this huge pile of paper from her students, then doing some of her own homework online, however... No, that simply wasn't acceptable.
This was a weekend! She was supposed to be out and having fun, not holed up in her dark and gloomy dorm with all the windows covered and nothing but a small desk lamp to provide light. This was just depressing, seriously. The writer needed to be active, it was like a drug. Being who she was, Madi took care to stay away from actual drugs, but activity? She would most definitely die of withdrawal if she stayed in her dorm all weekend. That was why when a text came from Trillian, she almost squealed from happiness. Okay, so maybe a motorcycle ride wasn't the best reason for neglecting all these piles of paper, but it was an excuse. Madison was the queen of procrastination, and obviously, she could save her work for tomorrow! She was close to jumping up from her desk, but since it would take a few minutes for Trillian to get here, she might as well finish grading a few more papers. As long as there was an end of the torture in sight, Madi could deal with that. Just a few more minutes, and then she would finally be outside again. That was the single thought that was keeping her working now, and she clung to it like a buoy.
When she thought about it, though, it seemed like all her friends were students. Sure, Madison had Oren to help with her pranks, but he was just one assistant teacher. She honestly didn't get along with any of the teachers themselves, but she had plenty of friends among the school body. Fred, Trillian, and various others made up most of her social life, even though she was supposed to act like a teacher and assign them homework. Luckily, neither of those two were in her classes, which made things a lot easier. That was a train of thought that she was going to have to save until later, though, because at that instant she received another text from Trill, demanding that she meet the younger girl outside. Bounding up and away from her desk, Madison quickly pulled on her jacket and grabbed her purse, checking that she had everything she needed inside of them before running through the halls and down the stairs to meet Trillian. So maybe a teacher running through the halls of the dorm was a little odd, but since when had Madison cared about what people thought was odd? She wanted to see Trill as soon as possible, so she ran. Simple as that.
How many times had she done this before? Practically danced out of the front door of the dorms to meet one of her friends on the curb? She couldn't count anymore. ”Hey!” she called happily, waving and walking over to Trillian. ”How're you doing?” Small talk, right. Madison gave the younger girl a quick hug, giving the cigarette a nervous glance. Trillian was the type of person that Madison said she would never hang out with, but look how wrong she's turned out to be. Ha. Funny... ”So, where're we going?” she asked with her faint Southern accent, stuffing her hands in the pockets of her jacket for warmth and waiting for an answer.

She observed the smoke as she blew it out, watching it curl and take shapes in the atmosphere before dwindling away. The littlest of things seemed to amuse her. Continuing with this act she almost didn't notice Madison come bounding toward her, until she heard the woman call out. Trill glanced over to the blonde female, who was smiling and waving, being her usual chipper self. Trilly returned the wave, flashing an attractive smile. The brunette didn't usually hang around someone like Madison, but there was something about her. Okay, I guess you could say the tattooed lady was beginning to grow quite fond of Madi. So while she was sometimes a little too outgoing for Trillians taste, she was too cute for her to get annoyed. Plus she was... usually down for the adrenaline junkies crazy adventures, which gained her some brownie points.
Trillian was far too much of a thrill seeker for her own good sometimes, and it had been known to get her in trouble. She'd willingly put her life on the line numerous times just for a thrill. The way Trilly saw it though, she would go when she was supposed to. So why be scared of everything dangerous? She wanted to live her life to the fullest, and she'd be damned if she were going to slow down for safety. Peopled needed to learn to live in her opinion. She'd rather die young, fulfilling her ever whim, than live to ninety wondering what if on every opportunity she'd passed.
"I am in an extraordinarily good mood, actually." Trillian grinned, wondering if her elated mood had anything to do with her excitement to spend the afternoon with this lovely lass. Wrapping her arms around Madison in the brief hug, though wanting to hold on longer, she unwillingly released her. She saw the other female eye her cigarette, remembering his dislike of them. She took one last drag, blowing the smoke out away from Madi and dropping the butt to the floor, stepping on it with her leather boot. Trillians hazel eyes met the striking blue eyes of the woman, smiling still. "It's a surprise!" She mused, patting the seat on her bike behind her. "We're going to take a little backasswards route though so I can show off my baby." Stroking the bike between her legs with an adoring gaze she focused back on Madi. "Your chariot awaits you, my dear." A light-hearted laughter bubbled from her chest following the words, revving the engine of her beast for emphasis.
A brief memory of the party they had met at flashed through Trills mind. How affectionate they had been. Sure they did little more than flirt and hold hands, though it was enough for Trillian to start thinking more of Madi. She wondered what she thought of it all, if she were beginning to grow feelings as well. She seemed happy enough to see her, though Madison was usually in a good mood. Pushing away the thought, she settled to remind herself that things would continue if they should. Trill was a big believer in karma and fate. 'Whatever is meant to be will always find a way.' Perhaps she was being a little hasty, something Trillian seemed to do. She was a hopeless romantic, though romance seemed to elude her. While she'd dated around she had never had a true, serious relationship. It was something she'd always longed for, though flings never seemed to escape her. Perhaps she was too flighty, forgetting her feelings for people just as quickly as she gained them. She just needed someone to come sweep her off her feet, and keep her on her toes. Something she'd yet to find.
