jessica ann kritsn: born into a single parent family jessica was raised as a good little catholic who attended church every sunday with her mother, at the tender age of four her mother married her step-father jacob who had a daughter from another marriage. her step-father had a public face of a caring, kind and well liked businessman but, behind closed doors, he was a raging alcoholic who directed his anger towards jessica. after several years of physical and mental abuse jessica, at the age of thirteen, packed a bag and fled in the middle of the night after one of jacob’s more violent outbursts which had rendered jessica unconscious of several hours.
living on the streets jessica picked up small jobs here and there that made sure she had enough money in her pocket to allow her to feed herself, she learnt quickly after a few months on the streets who she could trust and who she couldn’t. when she was seventeen she was approached by a man after she had been involved in a street fight which earnt her more money in a single night then she earnt in a week because people always betted on her to win and she did. she soon found out the job was to be a bounty hunter, the money was good and she accepted. she was trained to handle all manner of weapons and how to track people and animals down with ease, she learnt quickly and easily.
isobel marie grant: after two years of working as a bounty hunter jessica changed her name to isobel marie grant, she erased her past from her life and refused to look back. while hunting a young american man in italy isobel ended up falling in love with him which was against the rules, she got to know him well and didn’t want to have to hurt him in anyway because of her job. after knowing each other for several months he proposed to her, isobel agreed. Two days after saying yes isobel slipped into his apartment and left the ring on his kitchen counter with a note saying sorry before she left italy informing the person who had ordered the contract on him that he had been taken care of even though he was alive and well.
isobel left to keep him safe and not put him in danger, continuing to work isobel kept her distance from anything that involved going to italy and took more jobs in england and paris where there was more money for her. but after a few months of being in back in london she caught wind of the fact her ex was looking for her, she she fled to paris wanting to make sure she never found her so he couldn't he placed in danger ever again. isobel uses the cover story that she is a freelance writer collecting stories to explain to people why she travels so much and how she knows so many different languages.
