LIKES, tate has a long list of things he likes to do. he loves photography, long walks, watching the sunset, and interacting with people. he doesn't let his disability define him. he plays the drums and watches television like any normal teenage boy. he adores food, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, this is exactly tate.
DISLIKES, tate dislikes the rain, it is more of an inconvenience than anything. he dislikes boring and judgmental people. and he hates coconuts and cherries. their taste is disgusting to him.
FEARS, his number one fear is finding love and falling out of it. his parents divorced at a young age and he hated the entire ordeal.
PERSONALITY, Tate is a very nice boy at times, he is bubbly and an over achiever. He gets good marks in school and is a pretty smart kid. He is dedicated, adventurous, and intelligent. He is very gifted at photography, more so than the usual person but he doesn't like to show it. He is stubborn, and doesn’t know when to quit. He also cannot resist the chance to prove anyone wrong.
Tate is a very attention seeking kid, he loves to be the center of attention and will do a lot of things to get there. He can be considered a bit of an ass but only on occasion. Tate is also a very jealous prone guy, if he wants something that you have or that he believe is his he will try his hardest to get it back or to make you give it to him. He is always that type of guy.
Tate is good at doing what is asked of him, he is very kind and calm, and hates fighting; screaming and yelling, etc. He is a very easy person to understand. His boldest attributes is his deafness and lack of security. Tatum doesn’t let people judge him for being deaf, he is just your average guy except he cant listen to the world’s bullshit. He considers himself lucky in a way.

HISTORY, Statistics say that 87% of deaf and hearing relationships don’t work out, for Tatum’s parents this statistic was sadly true. Sam and Rissa got married straight out of high school and moved to Marsailles, France. At twenty four Clarissa got pregnant with her first child, a beautiful baby boy. He turned out deaf like his father. Clarissa loved him no matter what, but deep in her heart she wished her child would be able to hear her voice. Three years after the birth of their son Tatum, Carissa got pregnant once more and this time with a baby girl. She also was born deaf.
Carissa made every excuse in the book to leave, besides the fact that both of her children were deaf due to their father. Sam and Rissa divorced six months after Alexandria was born. At this time Sam moved himself and his two brilliant children from Marsailles to Paris. A new start, as some would say. Rissa got with an old classmate and soon she was re-married. Sam and the kids got settled into a nice house on the good side of town and they continued with their lives. That was, until Carissa had found a way to interject again.
Rissa and her new husband decided that they wanted to move to Paris, because it would be very romantic. Sam believed it was so Carissa could tempt the kids and rub the fact they weren’t living with her in their face. Sam refused to let Alexandria see Rissa, Tatum already knew his mother, but he refused to let Rissa hurt his baby girl.
