With a coffee cup in his left hand and his right holding his guitar strap closer to his body, Parker made his way towards the recording studio. Once waking up, he had a lot of muse, enough to write musical notes all over his essays that were on the bed stand next to his head and just letting his hands flow all over the pages as he wrote. Maybe the muse had just come out from nowhere, but he was glad it had come because he had put himself into a sort of musician’s slump. One which he thought that he wouldn’t be able to come out of, but finally, the day that there was some sunshine flitting through his netted curtains, that was the day where his muse had finally come home. He just wanted to record it all down before it all escaped his mind, though it was pretty much sill of him since he had already written it all down, but did he care? Not really!
A small smile placed upon his lips, he walked shyly through the great halls of the Academy, though he had been here since the school year had started, he still felt shy when he walked through the halls because he felt as if he didn’t belong here. He was different to everyone, well that was an understatement really, but that’s what he was. He didn’t think that he was good enough to be in a place like this, it was just silly. Why had he even applied for? The only good thing that came out of this so far was that he had a boyfriend and quite a lot of good friends, one of them being his best friend Christopher. Stopping in the middle of the hallway, he placed his coffee cup on the nearest window ledge and pulled out his phone, sending her a quick text with a smile, urging her to come to the recording room. At least that way he would have some constructive criticism on his work without feeling down about it.
Once he had sent the text, he placed his phone back into the back pocket of his jeans and continued on his own merry little way to the recording studio, seeing no light on which indicated that it would have been in use, he opened the door slowly, smiling when he was completely reassured that the room was empty. Placing the cup of coffee next to the different buttons, he sighed, unstrapping the guitar and leaving it propped against the wall nicely. Sitting down on one of the seats, he propped a leg on top of all those monitor buttons and reached for his cup, taking a long, deserving sip of it with another smile. Softly he began to hum this tune, he had no idea where it came from but Shinichi was the one whom he had heard it from, it sounded pretty much nice and had stuck in his mind ever since it had passed through his ears. Licking his lips a little, his eyebrows rose slightly when he heard the door open and he turned around, smiling as he saw Christopher. “Hey there! You weren’t busy were you?”

Chrissy loved being here at the academy. She felt at home and special, she had made plenty of friends and the best of best friends, Parker. He was her first friend when she started here and the two had been near insuperable since. Chris told him everything and on weekends he would stay at her apartment. So, it didn't surprise her when her phone vibrated in her jacket pocket. As she pulled it out and opened her messages she smiled, it was Parker. He wanted her to meet him in the recording studio, which always gave Chris a jolt of excitement; recording with Parker was her favorite thing to do.
She was in her art class at the time and her teacher was teaching the students shading. Raising her hand, Chris called her teachers name softly to get his attention. When he finally noticed her she asked if she could go to the restroom, complaining about stomach cramps. He scribbled a signature on the hall pass and let her leave. She grabbed her purse and left the classroom, headed straight for the recording room. Practically skipping down the halls she turned the corner and had reached her destination. The light was on, so Chris looked through the window to make sure it was Parker.
She saw him and smiled, opening the door and walking in. She listened as he asked her a question. "I'm never to busy for you, Parks!" She replied with a smile as she wrapped her arms around him in a hug. Chrissy adored listening to Parker play his guitar and singing with him, so she couldn't contain her excitement, "So, what do you got for me?!" Chrissy had never had such a close bond with anyone, other than her twin sister and family of course, than she did with Parker. She had even had a crush on him when they first met, before she had known about his boyfriend.
It was a very awkward day when she was going to tell him that she had grown a tad bit fond of him, but instead he had introduced her to his boyfriend. She wasn't torn over that day, she hadn't liked him too much and she valued their friendship to much. Chris never told Parker about that, but would giggle to herself as she thought about it when she saw the boys together. Even now Chrissy chuckled low enough under her breath as she thought about how red she had turned.

He hoped that he didn’t pull Christopher out of any class that she was in; he was free so he just assumed that she would be free too. Hopefully she would be free and she wouldn’t have to face the wrath of any teacher when she returned to her classes. It was pretty bizarre as to how Christopher and Parker clicked so easily; he had never thought that he would make friends with a girl like her. Not that there was anything wrong with her, she was just more out going and stronger than he seemed to be and it sort of embarrassed him at the beginning of their friendship; but now he was pretty much used to it.
Taking another sip of his coffee, still humming, (yes, didn’t he just have great multitasking abilities?) he leaned backwards a bit ore, eyes focusing on his guitar, which was just a few inches away from him. Parker believed himself to be a much better guitar player than a singer, he didn’t know why he decided to go for singing as well as playing the guitar; it was stupid of him to do so, his voice cracked half the time and he was too shy when assignments came up. He was pretty sure that he would never make it as a singer, but he would try his very best to at least make it as a musician or even a song writer; those two jobs seemed to perfect for him because he would be in the background.
Beaming as he saw Chrissy’s figure enter through the door, he stayed in his position as she walked over towards him for a hug. He returned her hug, squeezing her a little happily because Parker did love hugs. He raised an eyebrow cautiously, “That’s good! You weren’t in a class were you?” Sitting up in his seat quickly though, he placed his cup carefully, making sure that it wouldn’t fall if he moved too quickly and reached over for his guitar. “I need help a little though, I’ve only got the music but I need lyrics for this.”
His voice came out almost whiny; he only was whiny because he knew she wouldn’t mind, he was close enough to her as if she were a part of his blood. That was a good thing, but in a way weird too since he did go out with her twin sister. But he pushed that out of his head, Christopher still didn’t know and he didn’t want to tell her in case anything got awkward. So coughing a little, he picked up his little purple pick with his initials in silver swirls before playing a simple chord. “You ready for it?”

Christopher smiled as he spoke and smiled mischievously. "Well, I was in class, then I got your text, so I'm here! Besides you know how my art teacher just adores me!" It wasn't a cocky statement that left her lips, her art teacher really did quite enjoy the young girl; she had even been titles a 'teachers pet' for a while at the beginning of the year. Chris never minded any of that, she tended to let remarks like that roll of her back, like water on a suck. Though she would sure hope she didn't have a duck face, she thought it was hideous when girls took pictures, thinking a face like that was cute!
Chris was excited when Parks asked for her help, she was always ready for a challenge! She nodded quickly and replied with a soft voice, "I'm obviously here for a reason! Duh, I'm gonna help you!" She spoke in a mater of fact tone; she always wanted to help out her little Parker! She had had his back from day one, no matter what seemed to go on around the two of them; any negative anything towards Parker she would have a remark back to. She adored the boy, he was her best friend, so she wouldn't let anything happen to him. Sometimes she even felt she was a bit to protective over him, he was old enough to take care of himself, but she loved him and had his back still.
Chris wasn't the best at writing lyrics, but she was sure she could help out a bit here and there. She was good at giving people ideas, or at least she felt she was. Chris was always prepared to help out with anything around. She smiled as Parker picked up his guitar, he played beautifully and it always made Chris warm and fuzzy inside, listening to him play was a magical thing; he had a talent Chris thought he wasn't even aware of. She tried to make sure he didn't take this ability of his for granted, she could play guitar, but not as good as he could. Chris nodded silently at his words and closed her eyes, opening her mind to words that would flow along with his music in a sweet melody.

He gasped, an incredulous look on his face as he shook his head. ”Oh crap, of course he adores you but you’ll miss out on so much!” He shook his head because he knew that there was no point at all arguing with Christopher, she did what she wanted to do and if she already was here in the recording booth with him, it meant that she would stay here until they were done recording their new song no matter what. Even if she had used the excuse of going to the bathroom on the teacher, and went back a few hours too late; he doubted her teacher would say anything because Christopher just had that spark, the spark that initiated their friendship and he loved.
Chuckling, he nodded his head at Christopher as she told him that she’d help him out, and that was exactly the reason as to why he called her first because he knew she would never say no to him and he loved that about her. As she nodded he struck a chord once more before letting his fingers hold the correct ones and began. A small, soft tune began at first, this was definitely going to be a romantic song, and he knew that because he had thought of Shinichi when writing up the music. Slow rhythmic little pulses were first; longer rhythms followed soon after, the music soft and melodious, soft and slow not even picking up temp a little bit. His eyes were on the guitar, watching his hands move from one place to another, the pick in his hand moving softly as if on its own accord.
His face turned into a soft frown, or so it seemed, it was just because he was concentrating. His lips hung downwards, his eyebrows pushed towards one another as the tempo picked up, it was still soft, no harsh chords were used and he was deliberately keeping it soft, after all, this was only the first draft. He could change it later on once Christopher had helped him with the lyrics. The tempo softened once more, the song was coming to a slow, swift end and with a few more struck chords, and the sound resonated within the room. Looking up, a hopeful look on his face, he licked his lips, still unsure whether the song was actually ready or not. “So…what do you think?”

Chris nodded with her almost mischievous smile on her face. She wasn't to much of a bookworm, so sitting in class wasn't her thing; being in the recording studio was though. She knew she wouldn't miss any vital lecture in art, so Chris wasn't worried in the list. Instead she just shrugged off his comment and looked at him expectantly; she had come here for a reason and was ready to be impressed and Parks always did great at just that.
Chrissy watched as Parker struck a chord then began playing. She had become focused on a light glaring off the guitar in his hands; a soft smile coming to her face. Closing her eyes to let her mind worked, Chris swayed in her spot along with the music. It was a slow, calm song that she could tell was meant to be romantic because it made her heart flutter a bit. Chris began to think of a poem she had written a few years ago as Parks played his song for her. That poem had also been about love, though it had been short and more up beat and faster paced than this song. Though she had come to help him and when he finished playing she opened her eyes, a large grin across her face.
"Wow, that was lovely Parker!" Christopher replied, her smile never moving from her lips. "It reminded me of a poem I wrote, though the poem isn't as long, nor as slow paced as your song." She said as she watched his face to see his reaction. Chrissy started talking again, "Maybe we could slow it down and use parts of it as the chorus, it goes like this; There are three little words I wish to say, from me to you I can't find a way. Some may say that there so small, not important not at all. But I say different I'll stay true, to the three words; I love you." She bit her lip, hoping that he could work with this. Chris didn't see much with those words, but she would stay in this recording room until they cam up with the perfect song to record. Then, the two could most likely go and play in the coffee shop around the block from their school like they usually did when they came up with great songs.

For him this was completely new boundaries, he had hardly written a love song before ever and when he had it came out completely wrong. This was why he needed Chris’ help, because she could probably understand the words that would absolutely go with the music that he created. At some points Parker was an amazing songwriter, but most of the time he was just a musician, someone who knew what instruments went great with each other and how to make a song sound just perfect. There were moments when Parker felt like he was an utter genius at what he did but those feelings hardly lasted for a while after he listened to his stuff over again, this was why he needed a ‘partner.’ Someone who would be able to give him constructive criticism without breaking the sensitive little heart that was wrapped with pretty flowers. It was slightly unusual for a boy to be this sensitive, but Parker was and although he tried his very best not to be, he was always going to be that way because even without a mother, he had been taught to be a gentlemen.
A smile instantly was placed upon his face as Chrissy told him that the song sounded great, he thought there was a few tweaking he could do hear and there but he still thought it was great too. He raised an eyebrow, guitar perched on his thigh as he frowned a little at the words, singing them in his head at a slower pace and imagining the music behind it. It could work, it could definitely work. The thing about music was that you always had to change things around just to stumble upon a masterpiece. And hopefully Christopher had the time to work with him until they could manage to create that said masterpiece. “I like it, wait give me a second!” putting his guitar down, he opened up his bag, pulling out a notepad and a pen and quickly writing the words she had said. “Will you be the one singing it? We could perform it in our next class or something?” Smiling at her, he picked up his guitar once more, pen and paper on the opposite thigh now so he could hold his guitar properly. Slowly, he strummed the guitar once more and slowed down the song, presenting it to Christopher. “How’s this? Is it too slow?”
