HISTORY, rapture was born in canterbury, england in a commune. her parents had been apart of the commune for ten years, her father already had a son to another woman but no one minded. rapture was raised around many different people in the commune, she was taught to read and write by the men and women who they lived with, she was also taught to play the guitar by an older gentleman in the commune. she was raised in many different placed because the commune regularly moved with the seasons, rapture and her family loved it. rapture was of course close to her half-brother because there was only a two year age difference, they grew to depend on each other and spent most of their time together.
rapture’s parents weren’t as strict as most of the parents outside of the commune were, whenever leyste and her would try and play with the town kids of where they happened to be the parents of the other kids would rush out and shoo rapture and her brother off claiming they were a bad influence because they stole food and busked for money when they were low on funds for the commune.
at the age of seventeen rapture’s mother passed away from catching pneumonia, her father began drinking heavily which left rapture and leyste to do all of the work that their father should have been doing around the commune, soon after their father committed suicide leaving rapture and her brother in the care of the commune. one of the other families in the commune encouraged rapture to leave the commune and experience more of the world, so she saved up her money and left for paris to attend la lumineuse as a first year musician.
