HISTORY, alexa grew up in a very wealthy family. her parents never paid much attention to her, as she is the youngest of three children. she wasn't a very happy child, because whenever she was upset, her parents would try to comfort her by buying her things. her father used to abuse her, both sexually and physically. no one would believe her when she tried to tell someone, though, so she stopped trying. when she was sixteen, he passed away from a stroke. she was devastated, but she also felt that the weight of the world was lifted off her shoulders. in school, alexa never had trouble fitting in. she was wonderful at mirroring the personalities of the "popular crowd," and soon they accepted her with open arms. at school, she was never allowed to be herself, and at home, she was always treated horribly. her only escape was acting, and sometimes writing, but she never showed anyone her writings as they were very personal. by the time she was sixteen, just after her father passed, acting wasn't enough. instead of turning to someone, though, she turned to something - alcohol.
the night her father died, alexa ran home in a distress, not knowing what to do with herself. there was no one around, and no one that she could talk to because she trusted no one. instead, there was an unopened bottle of champagne resting on top of the counter. with no other way to cope with the incident, she downed the entire bottle. and it was wonderful. she forgot about her father's death, and she stopped worrying about everything that had been trouble. it became addicting. whenever something would go wrong, alexa would drown out her sorrows with alcohol. her senior year of high school, however, her mom caught her sneaking champagne into school. immediately, alexa was shipped off to rehab. since then, she has been much more focused on her future, and avoided interaction with alcohol very well. she has also decided to pursue her acting career and education somewhere far, far away form her past - paris. here, she hopes to reinvent herself. alexa has vowed to stay true to herself, and in the process, stay away from drugs and alcohol. but she is still in a very fragile state, and who knows where this adventure will take her?
