Aty ran threw the school yard, bag stepped to her back, weaving in-between students, smiling. People were use to seeing her around by now and a few people were calling her the unofficial mascot of the school. Her strawberry blond hair was in a loose ponytail that had been tight at the start of the day. One ear bud was playing some Ella Fitzjarald and she was almost biting at the bit to get to the practice. She was doing a dance number to this song for a contest she was signed up for. In fact she was really looking forward to this song. Louis armstrong was a great voice, Ella was amazing, and her partner for this piece was cute. He was suppose to meet her at the practice room at 4, but she was getting there an hour early to warm up.
The only problem with this piece was that it was a jazz piece. She like jazz music but she didn’t like jazz dancing as much as ballet. But apparently she was good at, and Madam Cooper had asked for it, which showed that she had confidence in their abilities. Well, Aty said asked for it, in truth Madam Cooper didn’t ask for anything you just did what she said, and did it well.
The guy, her partner, was Matthew Buck, he was cute and 13, so a little older then her, but still, black hair and ice blue eyes. He was simply breath taking. Suddenly she heard the sound of appears escaping from a book bag, her papers, she turned to see that her book bag had spilled open and the papers were spreading.

The headmistress praised her commitment with the school despite the fact that Haydn was technically just using it as a hiding place. Haydn stopped looking it like that some time ago. The academy had slowly but surely turned into a constant in Haydn’s life. Here he could feel free, happy, and at peace for once in his life! His inspiration had returned and he was already working on his next novel which after taking a two year break was coming along greatly in his opinion. Still, it didn’t mean that teaching kids was easy, or that it didn’t wear him down.
Kids were so hard to handle… Haydn did his best to keep them entertained, to keep them on their toes during his class and most of the times it worked. The consequences were obvious though: Haydn’s back hurt as if he had been working out instead of sitting in front of a desk and he was pretty sure the number of gray hairs in his head had gone up by a significant amount. Well… he felt good by the end of the way so why not?
The sun hurt his eyes slightly as he stepped out to the school yard, suitcase in hand and his jacket hanging on his shoulder. Ugh, he was becoming some sort of night owl! Getting to school before the sun dawned and heading back home when it was already dark wouldn’t help with his health but every now and then he allowed himself a little break; just like today~ It was time for some English tea and maybe a snack~
He didn’t get too far though. His eyes were instantly distracted by the sight of a little girl that obviously didn’t belong there. Well, she looked like a little girl to him, and worse thing was that she reminded him of his son. Cracking a slightly sad smile he watched the girl run by, his mind giving him a random mental note: she was the daughter of one of his colleagues but for the life of him he couldn’t remember her name. The incident wouldn’t have caught his attention any longer if it wasn’t for the fact that she was leaving a trail of papers behind and hurried to help her pick them up before the wind had their way with them.
“Oh, don’t go.” He mumbled at a couple pieces of paper that were dangerously close to being blown away. “There you go~” He smiled triumphantly at the pieces of paper before turning back to the girl and offering them to her before straightening them up. “Sorry, I missed a couple. If they’re really important I can go try to fetch them.” Haydn said, feeling that almost forgotten parental tone of his rearing its head. Of course he’d go run after a couple paper sheets just to make a girl happy all while looking like an idiot. He’d probably trip in the process, get his suit dirty and maybe even hit his head against the pavement but yeah… that’s what his parental instincts told him to do~ [/style][STYLE=border:2px solid #494949;background:#efefef;padding:3px;font-size:9px;text-align:center;color:#4c4c4c;margin-top:4px;]words idk! tags athena ♥ credit table by greyson of btn notes i hope it's ok :3[/style] |

Aty held in her hands the half of the papers that she caught. She took his stack smiling and ran through it. “Nope It’s all good, just history notes.” She said with a huge smile on her face. She was a cute little girl, a tiny body, with long hair and the stance of a dancer. She looked at him again, “Thank you for the help.” She said. She put out her hand for him to shake. “I’m Athena Mills, My dad works here, Doctor Mills.” She said in her bounchy bubbily voice. She had a habbit of bouncing when she talked, as if her legs were made out of springs or something.
She had yet to meet this teacher, but then again this was a big school. She had been there for a few years though. Her dad had taken her and her mom to a few school events, and she even managed to meet the dean. Her dad said that the staff loved how bouncy and happy and enthusiastic she was. The ballet teachers were already insisting that she start filling out her applications to go there. Though Aty didn’t know wheather she wanted to go to a school where her dad was teaching. Though really her dad may not be teaching there by then, they tended to move around a lot. She really hopped that she didn’t have to move again for a long time. She liked it here, almost as much as she liked england.

Sure, Leon was a boy, and only nine years old… well… eight when he left but he was pretty much as bubbly as she was. Always bouncing and always finding something to entertain himself. Haydn was a little saddened to learn that his son leaned a lot more for her mother’s profession than his own but it never made him love his son any less. Haydn had forgotten how much he liked to be surrounded by children, younger children, not the immature first year students that he sometimes had to deal with.
“Are you sure?” He chuckled slightly, remembering a scene of his own childhood in which he remembered how history notes always fell at the bottom of the importance ladder. “History is as important as anything else.” Ok, that was his inner adult speaking. His inner child, on the other hand, was rolling his eyes at him and reminded him that the only moment in which he needed history had been when he wrote a particular chapter of one of his books and even then he didn’t need to do much research.
“I’m Haydn Nobel. Very pleased to meet you Athena. Lovely name you have.” He said, shaking her hand and adding a courteous bow of his head like he usually did when meeting someone, women particularly. “Doctor Mills, yes…” Haydn trailed off for a second, now fully remembering the doctor’s face and the fact that he had talked to him at least a few times. “An interesting man if I do recall well.” His smile was back in place for some reason that he didn’t bother to pin down. It was probably the prospect of talking to someone other than curious adults that liked to peek into his personal life or smart ass students who thought they knew how the world worked with barely nineteen years on their backs. Truly a refreshing idea~
“Are you here with your father dear? Or is it something else?” Haydn let the pet name slip along with his very characteristic Scottish accent. But, who was being the curious adult now? Well, he couldn’t help it~ as common as it was to see Doctor Mills’ daughter running around the school doing something or the other Haydn’s curious monster couldn’t help but wonder just what exactly a middle schooler had to do in an arts academy. Haydn himself would’ve hid in the library, finding refugee in books and stories but not everyone in this world was a bookworm like he was~ [/style][STYLE=border:2px solid #494949;background:#efefef;padding:3px;font-size:9px;text-align:center;color:#4c4c4c;margin-top:4px;]words idk! tags athena ♥ credit table by greyson of btn notes [/style] |

Aty shook her head. “Not really. Besides mom is a history professor she can help me fill in the blanks.” She said. Honestly nothing in history interested her vary much.
She smile grew as he complimented her name. “Thank you Mr. Nobel.” She said. Her curls bounced with her and her face seemed to glow as he talked about her dad. “Yeah, daddy tends to be a little Silly. He says it’s a theater thing. He says all actors are crazy, and if you read some of the scripts they have to act out you’d understand it.” She babbled on with a smile. “Daddy’s some where I’m sure, but he talked one of the dance teachers to let me and my partner practice in their room, since his dance shoes kept leaving scuffs in our wood floor, and his mom suffers from migraines. After that I’m gonna go to the library, the check out lady said they got a new book of poetry, and I want to get ahold of it before any one else.” She said this with a almost plotting smile. But the type of plotting look that a kid has when they’re talking about stealing a cookie, not anything seriously.
