PERSONALITY, odette is generally a very kind person. upon first meeting her, you can tell that she's got a gentle heart. her big hazel eyes give most of it away, along with the soft smile she gives to those who she first meets. when she begins to speak, her voice is sweet and she says only words that she knows will not offend the other. thankfully, odette can not tell a lie. her cheeks grow red and she begins to stutter lightly, so she just doesn't lie. also, she has a guilty conscience, so she refrains from doing anything bad. she tried once, but she hated being grounded by her mother and she hated even more the inside feeling it gave her.
anybody that sees odette long enough can find that she's extremely serious about her instrument. she's played french horn since she was six. it's in her blood and she knows that there's tons of pressure along with that instrument. that's why she spends countless hours a week with a horn to her lips, practicing the notes until they are perfect. perfection is all that she will accept, which is why she gets many solos and plays them all to her perfect standards. of course, odette screws up sometimes, but when she's playing in front of an audience, she plays almost every not perfectly if not all. her tone is wonderful and she will not let anything get in the way of her playing. even her family can't pull her away from her horn - her sister actually knows what it's like to be so wrapped up in something so important. she loves her french horn to say the least.
now, she's very kind, but she can be easily offended. when someone says something against any of her family or her french horn, she becomes very defensive. this side of her only lets loose when she's under extreme stress, she's being snapped at, or someone has said something about her family or horn. odette has an attitude that usually doesn't show because she's hidden behind her horn. however, when it does, it's like a thunderstorm. she gets loud, as she is a naturally loud talker. also, she has many smart alec remarks that she lets loose. they can be piercing, like a knife or claws. odette can feel bad afterwards, it just depends on what the other one does. to tick her off.
as for quirky things, odette is rather lazy. she never really plays sports or anything, though she does run occasionally. it's good for her lungs, whichs he has to keep in tip-top shape for her french horn. however, she doesn't like to do much. also, she's extremely smart. she always made straight as in school and plans to do the same in college. she once wanted to be a surgeon, and may still wish to, but she knows that her horn is much more important. it will make her lots of money and provide her many of unique opportunities. odette was also very spoiled and still is. her family is not poor, actually rather wealthy, and has bought her many things, such as her many double horns she's had in her life time. currently, she's wanting a triple horn and has her eyes peeled for any horn better than the one she's got, even though she feels like she's being a traitor to her horn every time she switches.

HISTORY, odette was born seven minutes before her younger twin sister, maximillienne. her mother and father, sidonie and cesaire, had the typical love story. they fell in love in odette's home town, besancon, france. her father played french horn, as did her mother. both played other instruments however. sidonie loved to play oboe as well and cesaire played nearly every brass instrument there was. they were together for eight years before they decided to have a child, and ended up with two instead. of course, ode and max were blessings, as they both were entirely as interested in music as their mother and father and the generations of instumentalists before them.
ode and max grew up very close. they both started on french horn, as they found the instrument beautiful and the sound created such a full sound to a band. when the twins were around eight years old and had been playing the french horn for two years, max took up singing, as she had a beautiful voice. ode became more serious about her horn at this time. both children took up lessons from professional teachers and their parents, while trying to juggle school work at the same time. both were very smart, so keeping their grades up wasn't a problem. even when they didn't do their homework for musical reasons, they made up for it with perfect scores on tests and other assignments.
ode and max went through many horns and other instruments, max taking singing as well. her grades slumped slightly for a while, but after a while they were back to normal and she could continue her career. it was when they both graduated from their high school that their parents brough up the idea of going to la lumineuse. only the best got into the program, it was one of the best french horn programs in the country. plus, moving to paris sounded just wonderful. without hesitating, ode and max accepted the offer. with a tearful goodbye, their parents sent them away for their first year in la lumineuse. from then on, the twins are expected to become professional. they will undergo professional training to create a life full of music.
